The Payroll Senior Specialist will be responsible for managing the payroll in our APAC countries with focus in Japan and China.
Responsibilities
Payroll processing and maintain payroll records and reports
Data collection and entry for monthly preparation of payroll for various countries
Prepare payroll journal entries and responsible for payroll month end close cycle
Provide analysis for monthly activity for payroll related balance sheet account collaboration
Timely execution of salary, taxes, pensions payroll and benefit related payments
Prepare and maintain accurate and compliant records for internal and external audit control procedures. Responsible for all audit related inquires, escalating as needed
Analyze all variances and comment on all fluxes as required during financial close process
Coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams such as HR, Finance, Tax, Global Mobility in administration of payroll matters
Manage local payroll vendors and research and resolves issues or problems on service provided
Select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to improve payroll processes and operational policies
Attend to payroll queries from employees
Stay up to date with local payroll regulations
Requirements
5+ years of experience working in a payroll environment
Bachelor's degree preferred
Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of payrolls in Japan and China
High proficiency in spoken and written Japanese required to manage Japanese speaking stakeholders and vendor
Experience with HR technologies such as Workday, SAP, Peoplesoft
Proficient with MS Office, advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot table and VLOOKUP and capable of handling volume of data
Problem solving mindset & positive attitude. Experience working in a global matrix organization is a plus
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
