Channel Sales Operations Sr. Manager – ASIA PACIFIC

What is your role about?

As the Channel Sales Operations Sr. Manager, you will be reporting to the Senior Director, Channel Sales Operations.

This role is a critical one within the Global Sales Operations team where you will be the point person for the VP of Channel Sales for APAC.  You will work closely with the APAC Sales Operations teams to develop and enhance reporting, systems, and processes for the Channel Sales team. You will manage one permanent team member to help support these goals. As part of a Global Sales Operations team you can influence global process and be responsible for driving global processes, systems and reporting to enable our Channel Sales Team.

The Channel Sales Operations Sr Manager is responsible for Channel Sales Operations in APAC, working with experienced Sales and Sales Operations teams to drive processes improvements and reporting enhancements.  You will directly support the Channel Sales team and interact with both field and channel sellers daily. Additionally, this position has responsibility for influencing worldwide policy with respect to Channel Sales, ensuring that a consistent process is followed, resolving regional differences and the maintaining of data in SFDC. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the point of contact for the VP, Channel Sales for APAC in the matter of all Sales Ops functions
  • Work closely with Regional and Global Sales Ops functional leaders to provide support for the Channel teams.
  • Support and frequently interact with Partner Sales Managers and senior sales management in their day-to-day sales roles.
  • Forecast and report Channel Sales performance on a periodic basis
  • Work with Channel leadership and the Sales planning team to facilitate proper coverage of market opportunity.
  • Identify KPIs of multiple tiers that drive short- and long-term success
  • Create processes in support of these KPIs that support growth of the Channel.
  • Manage all tracking and reporting on Channel Sales, including formal evaluation processes, scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Recommend changes and improvements to process to ensure sustainable and high-quality deliverables to the Channel Sales team.
  • Liaise directly between all parties (Channel and Field Sellers), establishing trusted partnerships internally and externally to grow the business
  • Facilitate compensation dispute resolution by the regional and Global Sales Operations team.
  • Act as an escalation point for the Global Sales Operations team for Channel Sales Operational issues.
  • Work with the Channel leadership and Sales planning group to set quotas
  • Collaborate with the Sales Compensation team on the design and implementation of the annual plan changes.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Reporting & Analytics team on the necessary data to support reporting needs.
  • Proactively resolving any data issues related to Channel opportunities/accounts in SFDC.
  • Tightly aligning with the Equinix Rules of Engagement, and Sales Compensation rules.
  • Being an internal Partner Champion building relationship within EQIX partners, mastering the internal channel process, and sharing best practice.
  • Ad hoc analytical reporting for the Channel with respect to Channels sales, deal registrations, partner statistics, etc.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess strong SFDC experience, preferably working in a Channel Role or similar.
  • Experience in leading process and system improvements within a sales organization working cross functionally with Sales, IT, and business analysts to execute on process and system enhancements.
  • Have strong excel skills, with the ability to manipulate, cross check and sense check large amounts of data.
  • Have advanced analytical skills – the ability to analyse statistical data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations.
  • Have experience of people management, with a passion for developing direct reports.
  • Have strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to work cross functionally.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organisational skills.
  • Be highly adept at problem solving.
  • Have demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on commitments.
  • Be team oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
