The global legal team is on a transformational journey to meet our future needs as the world’s digital infrastructure company. Reporting to the Director, Legal Operations, Technology and Analytics and working alongside members of the Global Legal Operations team, the Senior Manager, Legal Technology will play a key and highly active role in leading and shaping this transformation. The Senior Manager, Legal Technology will be a self-starter with outstanding decision-making and problem-solving skills, demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, and be proactive, resourceful, and skilled at developing and implementing creative solutions to business challenges. We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, & results- oriented professional with effective execution skills, demonstrated knowledge of legal technology, and proven experience managing multiple projects to completion.
Partner with members of the Legal Operations, Legal practice areas and IT to develop a digital transformation roadmap for the global Legal team. Proactively gathering and prioritizing global needs from stakeholders and ensure feedback and updates during prioritization and execution
Facilitates opportunities on digital roadmap through deployment and adoption to realize value by translating business requirements into solutions
Manage the execution, risks/escalations, and health of the Legal IT portfolio
Select, implement and integrate new Legal solutions and technologies, including eBilling, Matter Management, Document Management, Contract Management, Workflow and Ticketing, and Reporting solutions
Review manual operations with an eye toward optimization and automation
Manage cross-functional process and system integration impacts
Manage budgets for technology projects and initiatives including ROI and business case realization strategies
Institute KPI’s with relevant metrics to monitor the efficacy of the portfolio and drive continuous improvement
Lead the Legal Technology team within Global Legal Operations
Proven track record of selecting, implementing, and managing legal technology solutions such as eBilling, Matter Management, Document Management, and Contracts Management, with at least 10 years of experience
Comprehensive understanding of budgeting and resource planning
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Proven leadership effectiveness in a fast-paced, highly matrixed, cross-functional, and global environment including leading teams directly and through influence without authority
Strong interpersonal, teaming and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a results-oriented manner, shifting easily between strategic and tactical
Proficiency with Salesforce, Onit, iManage, and Agile methodology a plus
Hands on experience implementing and/or maintaining a Contracts Lifecyle Management (CLM) solutions a plus
Agile and project management qualifications preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
