Job Summary: This role will be part of our U.S. HR Advisory team and will lead resolution of complex employee relations matters, specifically investigations for the US, working closely with HR partners, leaders across the business, and Legal.  This role will be a critical Subject Matter Expert in Employee Relations and investigation matters.

 Responsibilities

  • Lead and complete investigations into complex employee relations matters and/or employee concerns.

  • Lead and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues (in partnership with our Legal team) to assist employees and managers in creating a productive, engaging work environment.

  • Documenting employee relations and investigation findings, providing updates and recommendations of next steps to a variety of stakeholders, including up to the Executive level.

  • Developing ER framework and process efficiencies.

  • Provide training and coaching to other members of the HR Advisory team on ER and investigation best practices.

  • Other responsibilities: 

    • Assess employee performance challenges or development needs, recommend solutions, and coach managers on effectiveness.

    • May communicate and coach managers in team effectiveness, workforce planning, and leadership development. 

    • May collaborate with the business and serve as key lead on reporting, analysis and insights as key HR programs are implemented, such as our pay and performance review process and employee engagement survey. 

    • May partner with our Centers of Excellence: Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Rewards, and HR Operations to deliver programs and execute on HR plans. 

    • Offer COVID triage support and support return to work protocols.

Qualifications

  • Professional certification in HR preferred (PHR, SPHR) .

  • 7+ years experience preferred. 5+ years HR generalist experience preferred with a focus on investigation/complex ER issues.

  • Wide-ranging HR background required– demonstrated experience leading complex situations, creative problem-solving and strong influencing skills in a matrixed environment. Must have exceptional judgement and discretion. 

  • Strong employee relations experience with issues specific to performance management and leaves of absence.

  • Coaching and counseling at manager and employee level experience required.

  • Experience conducting workplace investigations, demonstrating effective listening, probing and investigatory skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify root problems/causes, and recommend actions to resolution in partnership with Legal.

  • Proven track record of building strong relationships, based on trust and credibility, both within the Business and HR.

  • Ability to lead and make decisions independently is expected.

  • Experience supporting multiple organizations and HR partners preferred.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, run shifting priorities with a sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines is needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • User level knowledge of HR Systems is critical – Workday experience a plus.

  • Facilitation skills desired. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related business field preferred.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $98k-$132K per year with a 20% bonus target.
