Role Description 

 

This senior leadership role will build and elevate the Technical Program Management (TPM) function to drive the successful delivery of the company’s most complex, cross system technical initiatives. As a senior leader in the Digital & Innovation organization, this role turns strategy into execution by orchestrating engineering, architecture, product, data, and security teams around clear, scalable technical plans. The Senior Director will lead enterprise modernization programs, reduce technical debt, improve engineering velocity, and strengthen governance across the digital portfolio. By aligning technical roadmaps to strategic priorities and enhancing transparency of risks, dependencies, and milestones, this role ensures the development of modern, stable platforms and digital capabilities that improve customer experience, accelerate innovation, and support long-term business growth. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership 

  • Builds and leads a high-performing Technical Program Management (TPM) function, defining how complex technical programs are planned, governed, and executed.

  • Aligns Engineering, Architecture, Product, Data, and Security around scalable delivery frameworks. 

  • Connects long term digital strategy to actionable, executable technical plans. 

  • Inspires and develops high-performing teams, positioning TPM as a trusted, strategic partner. 

  • Brings clarity amid ambiguity through structured prioritization and disciplined execution. 

  • Champions engineering excellence with scalable architecture, rigorous planning, and quality delivery standards. 

  • Removes organizational and technical barriers, enabling faster delivery and stronger cross-team collaboration. 

  • Creates transparency and accountability through clear communication of risks, milestones, and outcomes. 

  • Balances near-term delivery with long-term modernization and platform evolution. 

  • Models collaborative, confident leadership in complex, high-stakes transformation programs. 

 

Technical Program Management 

  • Lead and evolve the TPM function to improve delivery predictability and engineering throughput 

  • Oversee complex technical programs including modernization, platform evolution, and digital capability build-out 

  • Manage cross-team dependencies, architectural constraints, and technical risks 

  • Improve visibility, reporting, and governance across engineering initiatives 

  • Ensure engineering capacity aligns with strategic priorities 

  • Ensure technical delivery supports simple, intuitive, scalable user experiences 

  • Partner with Product to sequence work that enhances digital experience quality 

  • Reduce technical debt that impacts customer-facing performance and speed 

  • Align program plans with customer-impacting priorities and release readiness 

  • Improve predictability and quality of customer-facing digital capabilities 

 

Skills and attributes 

  • 12+ years in Technical Program Management, Engineering, or similar technical leadership 

  • Deep understanding of architecture, systems integration, and platform design 

  • Proven success delivering enterprise-scale modernization and platform programs 

  • Experience working with legacy systems, technical debt, and large-scale transformation 

  • Strong ability to translate digital strategy into actionable technical roadmaps 

  • Strategic thinker with strong technical aptitude 

  • Exceptional communicator across technical and business audiences 

  • Skilled in identifying risks, dependencies, and sequencing complex work 

  • Adept at removing obstacles and accelerating engineering delivery 

  • Builds credibility quickly with engineering leaders and stakeholders 

  • Highly organized, structured, and execution-driven 

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 200,000 - 300,000 USD / Annual

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 240,000 - 360,000 USD / Annual

United States - New York City Office NYO1 : 220,000 - 330,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 202,000 - 302,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
