The Senior Cloud Security Analyst, Global CERT, supports the organization in its mission to provide timely and effective response to information security–related incidents and findings across all domains and geographies within Equinix to minimize the exposure of the Company to risk. By focusing on continuous improvement through its response activities, the CERT enables superior preparation against future threats. This position requires a deep understanding of common cloud architectures, security best practices, understanding of the incident response process, and knowledge of common threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures. This position must also have knowledge of networking, common networking appliances, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
This position requires superior interpersonal, communication, and technical skills to work across numerous internal and external incident stakeholders and effectively and efficiently contain and eradicate or remediate threats.
Conduct analysis of cloud-based assets pertaining to information security incidents, audits, and testing while adhering to best practices.
Assist in the driving and reporting of remediation and mitigation activities related to cloud security findings across multiple cloud platforms.
Support engineering teams in developing secure cloud infrastructure.
Identify gaps in cloud security posture and prioritize remediation efforts.
Review cloud architecture and advise teams on security design principles.
Assist in documentation of cloud security designs, configurations, processes, standards, and recommendations.
Provide recommendations to management and leaders regarding cloud security priorities and needs.
Manage cloud security incidents through analysis, containment, and eradication/remediation.
Engage workflow systems to track incidents from inception through completion.
Document lessons learned through the incident management process to support continuous improvement.
Participate in the Global CERT on-call rotation to support timely response to major incidents.
7+ years of experience in information security roles, with at least three years as a cloud security engineer, analyst, consultant, or incident responder.
Operational knowledge of cloud platforms (Google, Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud).
Experience with cloud technologies related to security logging and controls, including identity and privileged access management.
Knowledge and understanding of cloud security event logging systems.
Familiarity with Enterprise change management best practices.
Understanding of technology systems such as networks, applications, servers, cloud, authentication, and emerging technologies.
Experience with TCP/IP networking, Windows, Unix/Linux, and networking services such as SSL, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.
Experience working with information security teams and functions, such as security operations centers, threat and vulnerability management, security incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and security policy and compliance.
Exceptional communications skills (oral and written) with a history of successfully engaging with multiple levels of leadership.
Experience implementing processes aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with little oversight.
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Degrees and/or Certifications in computer science, information security, and similar preferred.
