Job Summary: Product Software Architecture & Engineering team at Equinix is on a mission to help build Equinix’s next generation Platform offerings in Interconnection, Data Center Information Management, IoT, and Digital Experience. Our motto is to work smart and play hard.

We are looking for someone who can build great things out of nothing and who will never satisfy with just doing small things.


Responsibilities

  • Help Analyze & evaluate new technologies working with Senior team members

  • Be part of a high performing Agile scrum team

  • Use automation tools and best software engineering practices for coding, testing, and deployment

  • Interact with stakeholder(s) to understand product feature(s) and turn them into design specs

  • Contribute to the user and developer documentation

  • Engage in troubleshooting and solving production issues and interact with the internal developer community

  • Help in evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and platform

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field with 0-3 years of progressive software development experience

  • Thorough understanding of computer programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms is required

  • Full-stack expertise in application development with Java technologies with knowledge of Spring, Play and Hibernate is preferred

  • Working experience with JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML5/CSS3 and Node.JS is preferred

  • Understanding RDBMS database technologies like Postgres or Oracle is desired

  • Understanding the usage of No-SQL database technologies including Cassandra, MongoDB is desired

  • Experience and knowledge of REST API development is preferred

  • Nice to have experience with continuous integration and delivery using public cloud such as AWS, Azure or GCP and container technologies such as Docker

  • Nice to have experience with Agile-scrum methodology and Test-driven development
