Equinix is looking for a hardworking Sales Support Associate to join our Sales Support department.
Being part of the EMEA Sales Support Organisation our mission is to be the single point of contact for all pre-sales related requests and issues. In your role as SSA (Sales Support Associate) you will be acting as a project manager for all pre-sales activities. As a team, we are responsible for supervising and coordinating progress on all opportunity-related requests, such as legal agreements, quotes, and customer signatures. The SSA is responsible for supporting the Sales team on pre-sales system and process changes.
As our SSA, you play a key role in project handling pre-sales activities and you work cross-functionally to solve issues related to quotes, orders, and data. You are the pre-sales operations contact who coordinates tasks seamlessly behind the scenes. You are prioritising multiple deals across the EMEA region ensuring they conform to Equinix standards, making sure the scope and direction of each is on schedule. Additionally, where there is a policy, process tool or system change impacting the customer or Sales, the SSA will make sure they are aware and help them through adoption.
Supports and coordinates all pre-sales operational activities for complex customer accounts or multi country deals
Support Customers and Sales reps with creating, tracking status, and garnering approvals for quotes. You also support for system functionality issues, quote complexity, knowledge/training, and high volume of quotes
Work with the sales executive to ensure pricing agreements are in place and accurate
Provide live sales support for all system related questions and be the subject matter expertise for any system or process improvements (e.g., ECO enhancements)
Validate quoting info provided by customers/ Sales reps for non-standard quotes. Follow up directly with Sales Reps and Sales Engineers on any clarifications or additional info required to accurately generate quote
Supervise quote request queues and generate quotes related to new orders, amendments, and renewals. Run quote revisions, approvals, pricing ramps, and pricing agreements and contract language as needed
Ensure any/all non-system-managed approvals are accurately maintained before quotes or other legal documents are released to customers
Communicate effectively with a variety of departments within Equinix and function well within a team
Project manage complex deals and renewals by handling cases and engaging cross-functional teams to coordinate requirements
Coordinate internal processes and streamline collaboration with other departments
Take ownership of Delegated Opportunity Management for small deals
Coordinate with quote support and lead all aspects of quote approval process
Manage and facilitate legal agreement requirements
Monitor required documents for new customer setup and follows up when needed
Handle critical issues between Sales Support and other internal groups
Deliver “refresher trainings” for Sales Reps on processes and policies
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably in computer-related field
Extensive experience in Project Managing/ Quote Support / Customer Support Organization
Siebel, Salesforce, Excel expertise is a plus
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to expertly communicate and interact with all levels of internal and external customers
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to juggle multiple priorities, handle highly confidential information, and a self-starter attitude
