Job Summary: The Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for working with the sales compensation team. The role requires excellent collaboration with other groups in Sales Operations to support implementation and execution of sales incentive plans in the Americas. As an integral part of our Sales Compensation Team, the Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day sales compensation operations related activities, calculation and review of compensation payments, such as commissions, bonuses, SPIFFs, and other variable incentives, to ensure accuracy and completeness of payments. Responsibilities also include Xactly/Incent compensation tool maintenance and providing detailed analysis of compensation performance on a regular basis. This is a highly analytical role, requiring excellent attention to details. The role involves review and manipulation of large data sets and requires developing knowledge of complex sales plans and compensation concepts. It requires the ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with the other sales compensation team members, FP&A and HR, in order to meet monthly payroll deadlines. You must have a can-do attitude, enjoy rolling up your sleeves and being part of a group where you can make real time impact.
Responsibilities
Sales Compensation Administration
Updates/maintains Xactly/Incent sales compensation system for assigned geography/group
Assists with data and quota uploads to our sales compensation tool
Creates, reviews, routes and tracks sales compensation documents, as needed
Validates and reconciles monthly/quarterly sales compensation payments for accuracy and completeness
Monitors and reviews sales compensation issue tracker queue and works with sales teams and/or sales operations to resolve issues and address inquiries, as part of our internal exception handling process
Supports the quarterly accrual calculation process, including variance analysis of actuals vs accrual
Supports sales organization in any and all compensation related matters
Reporting/Analytics
Generates regular operational reports to drive business insights regarding program effectiveness
Performs ad hoc modeling and analyses to address complex, open ended issues/questions
Program Support / Implementation
Keeps company in compliance with SOX and other statutory requirements
Partners with team members and other internal departments (HR, finance, IT, etc.) to ensure data integrity and consistency
Identifies ways to streamline/automate existing and new processes
Participates in the communication and roll-out of sales incentive programs
Makes recommendations to improve sales compensation and associated programs (e.g., contests, special incentives)
Qualifications
5+ years experience required in finance, accounting, audit or similar fields
Bachelor's Degree required
