Job Summary: The Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for working with the sales compensation teams across the globe. The role requires excellent collaboration with other groups in Sales Operations to support implementation and execution of sales incentive plans. As an integral part of our Sales Compensation Team, the Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day sales compensation operations related activities, calculation and review of compensation payments, such as commissions, bonuses, SPIFFs, and other variable incentives, to ensure accuracy and completeness of payments. Responsibilities also include Xactly/Incent compensation tool maintenance and providing detailed analysis of compensation performance on a regular basis. This is a highly analytical role, requiring excellent attention to details. The role involves review and manipulation of large data sets and requires developing knowledge of complex sales plans and compensation concepts. It requires the ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with the other sales compensation team members, FP&A and HR. You must have a can-do attitude, enjoy rolling up your sleeves and being part of a group where you can make real time impact.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess previous experience of working in a Commissions Analyst Role, experience using Xactly Incent will be a strong advantage.

  • Have strong mathematical ability, to be able to replicate system calculations manually to verify accuracy.

  • Have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Access and/or Tableau to manipulate data.

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, time management and organizational skills.

  • Be highly adept at problem solving.

Responsibilities

Sales Compensation Administration

  • Updates/maintains Xactly/Incent sales compensation system for assigned geography/group as needed

  • Assists with data and quota uploads to our sales compensation tool

  • Supports in the creation, review, routing and tracking sales compensation documents

  • Monitors and reviews sales compensation issue tracker queue and works with sales teams and/or sales operations to resolve issues and address inquiries, as part of our internal exception handling process

  • Supports the quarterly accrual calculation process, including variance analysis of actuals vs accrual

  • Supports sales organization in any and all compensation related matters


Reporting/Analytics

  • Generates regular operational reports to drive business insights regarding program effectiveness

  • Performs ad hoc modeling and analyses to address complex, open ended issues/questions


Program Support / Implementation

  • Partners with team members and other internal departments (HR, finance, IT, etc.) to ensure data integrity and consistency

  • Identifies ways to streamline/automate existing and new processes

  • Participates in the communication and roll-out of sales incentive programs

  • Makes recommendations to improve sales compensation and associated programs (e.g., contests, special incentives)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience required, emphasis on finance, accounting, audit or similar fields preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree required

For CO residents: In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for this role is $51,000 – $72,000 per year with 15% bonus target.
