The Role

The HR Analytics team is looking for an experienced Senior Modelling Analyst to help us build our workforce & financial modelling and reporting capabilities, and is excited about improving our teams’ internal analytics ways of working and driving consistency across our processes. The role is ideal for someone that is a solutions-oriented and someone that enjoys enjoys formulating problems, and using robust and methodical modelling and analytics techniques to turn ambiguous problem statements into actionable insights.

In this role, you will need to mine and explore the data, architect, and develop comprehensive analytical models, and present insights through compelling visualizations, to enable us to find insights and take action. You will also lead on managing and make tactical improvements to our team’s ways of working, demand management, operational processes, and analytical foundations, seeking to collaborate with other team members and strive for operational excellence. Externally, you will partner with global leaders in Equinix’s Strategy, Finance and HR Function, with particular focus with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Workforce Planning and Community and Belonging Teams, to help them make strategic and informed decisions to achieve their strategies.

Equinix is seeing unprecedented growth and the HR team is making significant investments in HR systems and supporting data analytic tools and capabilities. The role is ideal for someone that loves to solve analytical problems and is looking to make a big impact on the organisation. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills and can effectively convey complex concepts to non-analytical people.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate ambiguous pain-points into problem statements and hypotheses that can be solved analytically. Identify and obtain the required data sets, develop and validate the necessary assumptions; discover, build and test the appropriate models, to answer these problem statements.
  • Own the end to end process of scoping, designing, developing, validating and iterating comprehensive workforce and financial models.
  • Ownership and delivery of our Intake Management process to support ad-hoc strategic and operational from the organisation.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve our team’s internal operations, ways of working, and analytical foundations, including standardisation and governance of our portfolio of dashboards and metrics.
  • Partner closely with Senior Leadership, HR Business Partners, HR colleagues in other functional areas and fellow analytics team members to identify key workforce issues impacting the business.
  • Use consulting skills to determine and articulate internal customer business questions, develop the best approach for modelling and analytics and turn data into actionable insights & recommendations.
  • Participate in HR analytics projects to investigate potential measures, correlations and causality connections for critical business issues.
  • Create best-practise modelling and analytics templates for the team to leverage and to eventually roll out across HR.
  • Effectively communicate modelling and analytical techniques, results, and implications to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver high quality analysis, reports, presentations using simple and effective visualizations that can be scaled for consumption by a larger audience.
  • Create and maintain BAU workforce and financial models and dashboards.[HB1] [WB2] 
  • Work with HRIS to perform reconciliations and audits of HR data to ensure data integrity.
  • Act as a data and insights enabler for the HR organisation, to support in achieving data literacy and self-serve their own insights requirements.
  • Act as a data steward to support delivery of global data management, governance, and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence business stakeholders and drive change
  • Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills
  • Previous experience of Workday and One Model is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent quantitative skills, including data manipulation, modelling, and visualization
  • Advanced MS Excel skills & knowledge of VBA, particularly in building optimised workforce and/or financial models and tools
  • Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI are a strong plus
  • Experience in the analytics spaces with a focus on HR and workforce is preferred
  • Experience with compensation structures and associated analyses is preferred
  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of basic business and financial concepts
  • Possesses natural curiosity and thinks outside the box
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or relevant engineering discipline preferred

This role is available in London, Barcelona, Warsaw or Singapore.
