The ‘GDC Systems' strategy is currently being implemented through the development, roll-out, and support of an integrated suite of tools
This position is within the ‘GDC Systems’ team – currently a small team, supporting the much larger GDC team (over 200no. people) to deliver over 70no. projects globally per year (in excess of $1B capex).
Job Summary: Manages the execution of high complexity technical projects using predefined methodologies and tools. The role is well-suited to a person that has:
Design and construction experience, and an appreciation of what’s required by Project Teams to deliver complex datacenter projects
Knowledge of construction collaboration and project/program management tools
Experience setting-up similar systems on major projects/programs
Proactive and problem-solving attitude.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution (Single Project with a start date and end date. Plan, Execute, Close)
Manages project request submission process
Scopes technology programs
Develop project charters and obtain signoff from stakeholders
Tracks issues & risks
Manages multiple programs at the same time
Facilitates project retrospective meetings
Identifies continuous improvement opportunities
Leads effort estimation process across various teams
Manages PMO change management process.
Program and Portfolio Management (On-going program with multiple projects and teams Identify, Change, Empower, Monitor)
User Training (Creating / Delivering training documentation. Communicating updates / lessons learned to users.
Maintains PMO Backlog
Leads programs comprise multiple Agile/Project teams
Aligns projects within the program
Identifies and resolves program level issues with cross functional teams
Manages program external dependencies
Track project financials (cost and benefits)
Develop program status slides and maintain on weekly basis
Conduct Steering Committee meetings
Drive, monitor and control program level commitments
Manage SOW, Vendor financials/contracts as required.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
Builds relationships with company key stakeholders and business liaisons.
Communicates minor project/program scope, schedule, resource, and budget changes
Produces PMO reports and dashboards
Project Methodologies and Tools (Methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, Scrum. Experience with PM Tools such as PPM, Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, BI and SharePoint, Anaplan, Asite, Bim 360, Wordpress)
Communicates PMO Framework to all Stakeholders
Defines PMO project lifecycle processes
Develop and maintain communication plans / RACI
Develop and maintains project templates
Qualifications
7+ years experience
PMP, PgMP preferred
Project Management certification; (such as Prince2 or P3O, Agile or Lean Six Sigma certification) Experience with Agile way of working is appreciated
MS Office confident (PowerBI is a bonus)
Experience with Anaplan, Jira, Coupa are appreciated
Experience working with and manipulating data / databases / datasets
Experience with Process Management improvements
Experience with Stakeholder Management
Experience working with PPM tools and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
Able to design dashboards, roadmaps & presentations
Willingness to travel internationally (occasionally) to support project teams on-site and/or work with the PMO / Project Controls teams.
