Product Manager, Adobe Experience Manager

Job Summary: The Digital Experience Team is seeking a Product Owner that can define and facilitate feature and function requirements that are practical and workable that provide digital solutions to technical and business problems. You will be in a prominent, client facing role where you will work in the latest CMS platforms or related platforms that rapidly increase the digital experience and deliver value for the business.

Proficiency in analyzing and evaluating business systems while satisfying user needs is a must. The ability to write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify complex systems and programs. Will work closely with the engineering and project teams, acting as the domain expert product owner.

Experience working with an enterprise content management system is desired. Must be able to prioritize the diversified Digital Experience portfolio and deliverables while managing expectations and impact.

Familiarity and hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) required.
 

Responsibilities

• Gather information & features from all stakeholders and prioritize based on business value and product roadmap: create / provide metrics  that validates business benefit
• Manage the business feature and functions requests portfolio, manage the business roadmap
• Facilitate and drive stakeholder meetings regarding feature requests and stakeholder prioritization sessions
• Manage changing requirements (change control) communication with project teams and business on impact
• Ability to manage the Digital Experience portfolio and deliverables
• Expert in making trade-offs / prioritizing features and functions while managing realistic expectations
• Product Owner duties, Scrum methodologies – backlog refinement, planning, story-time, product demonstrations, feature prioritization, release planning
• Provide overview and details during backlog refinement of features and functions, and be available for user story clarifications during sprint lifecycle
• Gather, understand and document business requirements and use cases
• Provide direction for industry standard best practices in regard to business’ products
• Create detailed functional specifications, user stories that meet definition of ready (DOR), and acceptance criteria for product features and enhancements
• Work with teams to refine user story templates, if needed, for different types of work (new design, enhancements, migrating sites, general bugs)
• Devise diagrams and flows to illustrate steps and describe logical operational steps of the system
• Maintain and own JIRA issue backlog
• Work together with Scrum Master to groom backlog and plan sprints
• Update and maintain product documentation
• Meet with business and engineering management for status updates
• Assist with training of new features and product changes
• Collaborate with marketing analytics, content authors, web producers, UI / UX, QA, production support, engineers, and project managers to develop features and improve processes
• Assist with functional testing of development
• Ability to solve blockers , from business perspective challenges / features, that impede user story completions for sprint
• Available to validate / UAT all user stories completed during the lifecycle of the sprint in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Must have familiarity and hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager
• 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner
• 5+ years with proper Agile work environment and Scrum methodologies
• 5+ years’ experience with marketing websites
• 5+ years’ experience with content management systems and marketing applications portfolio
• 5+ years experience managing a business product portfolio while working with other Product Owners and Product managers in other organizations
• 5+ years’ experience working with software engineers / web developers
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Web development experience with several modern content management systems
• Experience and knowledge of software development process
• Understanding of the Agile development process and best practices
• Understanding of the end user and the software engineers
• Knowledge of implementing 3rd party integrations with content management systems

Additional Requirements

• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment
• Familiarity working with JIRA and Confluence
• Product Owner certification a plus, i.e. CSPO, CSP-PO
• Agile / Scrum certifications a plus
• Familiar with Marketing tools  /  application integrations, i.e Marketo, Tealium, Salesforce, Google Analytics
