Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company, operating 245+ data centers across the globe and providing interconnections to all the key clouds and networks. Businesses need one place to simplify and bring together fragmented, complex infrastructure that spans private and public cloud environments. Our global platform allows customers to place infrastructure wherever they need it and connect it to everything they need to succeed.
At Equinix, we help the world’s digital leaders scale with agility, speed the launch of digital services, deliver world-class experiences, and transform people’s lives. Our culture is based on collaboration and the growth and development of our teams.
We hire hardworking people who thrive on solving challenging problems and give them opportunities to hone new skills, and try new approaches, as we grow our product portfolio with new software and network architecture solutions. We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.
As Product Manager, Adoption & Growth, you will serve a critical role as an individual contributor, a key domain expert and thought leader, and you will spearhead and implement opportunities for driving growth across our platform.
You will report to the Director of Product Management – Self-Serve at Equinix Metal.
Be an authority on Product-Led Growth (PLG): you will be a subject matter expert on a paradigm new to many. People will see you as an authoritative figure where your mission will be to drive initiatives that ultimately make everyone’s job easier while delighting our customers
Facilitate PLG collaboration across departments: PLG takes a village and involves a cross-collaboration among Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Sales. You will play a critical part in being alternatively a liaison, a facilitator, a listener, a partner, and a visionary for each of those departments
Own leading indicators supporting north star metrics: you will play a foundational role in driving our north star metrics. By breaking those down into actionable KPIs, you will be able to prioritize opportunities after assessing corresponding impact and effort
Prioritize initiatives for impact: you will derive success by improving the leading indicators you can directly act upon. Through relentless focus and prioritization, you will double down on the signal and ignore the noise
Design, test, learn, and iterate by constantly experimenting via A/B testing and Pre-Post, you will generate invaluable learnings to fuel our growth to the next level. You’re embarking on an epic adventure that will transform our company
Integrate key tooling and instrumentation: because we’re as good as our data, you will play a critical part in keeping our product analytics tooling and reporting top notch and within budget
Build our Lab experience: you will oversee the foundation of our self-serve journey where users come to experience a new feature, get to their aha moment, and ultimately adopt that feature. That new experience is the catalyzer of our PLG motion
Own in-product user engagement features: you will oversee our tooling and processes to interact with our users as they familiarize themselves with our platform
Onboard and educate customers: you will play the role of a product specialist by ensuring that the relevant prospects experience our unique value proposition in the shortest amount of time. To do so, you will provide differentiated value to our users as soon as they sign up. You will also focus on the capabilities necessary to unlock in-product learnings, collect and share best practices to educate our new customers
Develop predictive user assistance capability: you will identify patterns associated with customers who can get lost during their onboarding journeys and fix those bottlenecks in a strategic way
This is an entrepreneurial role that requires strategic, analytical, and creative skills; a deep understanding of and passion for the emerging domain and practice of “product led growth”, especially within enterprise / B2B oriented technology platforms is a must. Additionally, given that this role is an emerging practice at Equinix, the role will require extreme comfort navigating complex and evolving organizational boundaries, building alignment and support across multiple teams over which you’ll have little or no authority. Instead, you’ll be expected to evangelize and convince others of the value inherent in the models and systems for which you’ll advocate using data and clear business logic. You have fully embraced the concepts of empowered product teams and the product manager’s role within that team structure, sourcing ideas and solutions to challenging problems from a myriad of different sources, and then efficiently exploring which of those ideas should be pursued alongside key members of your product team.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate at all levels, and switch gears quickly - helping to set the objectives and discipline roadmap at a leadership level, shift into execution mode when opportunities are identified, and ultimately drive impact. You should apply to this role if you are:
