Job Summary:  This role serves as a center of excellence within the Product Operations & Product Communications team to develop and implement strategic content programs that align teammates and raise awareness of Equinix’s product and solutions strategy. Reporting to the Director of Product Communications, the role will help drive content and programs that support product messaging and Product Organization objectives; manage internal awareness programs and product content resources; and contribute to GTM communications content.

Responsibilities

40% - Product Content Strategy and Creation

  • Partner with Director of Product Communications on strategy, planning and execution of programs and initiatives.

  • Produce strategic, creative, highly engaging content that differentiates and elevates the Product Organization and company priorities:

  • Create talking points, messaging documents, fact sheets emails and messages, blogs, FAQs, social posts, video scripts, and articles that drives employee alignment, introduces new ideas, thought leadership/market PoV and brand advocacy. 

  • Manage content execution including self-directed work, from cross-functional collaborators, and through virtual working groups.

  • Contribute to engagement strategy ensuring right content gets to the right audience on the right platforms at the right times.

40% - Communications Supporting Product Lifecycle Management

  • Partner with the Program Management Office and Product Operations team to support comms needs as identified as part of the product lifecycle process

    • Plan and support communications related to New Product Introduction and Go-To-Market processes

    • Plan and support comms associated with product updates, change management, and end-of-life processes.

  • Support program-level orchestration of strategic initiatives.

  • Participating in Functional Interlock initiatives to identify communications priorities.

  • Support content creation for the Product Organization in cross-functional collaboration opportunities with PR and other Equinix communications teams.

  • Develop and/or distill product messaging for appropriate audiences.

20% - Product Strategy & Team Leadership Support

  • Partner with internal teams and leverage vendors to develop presentations including concept, speechwriting, design, and supporting multi-media.  

  • Support communication efforts promoting Agile, Community and Digital Transformation within the Product Organization

  • Support Product Marketing and Product Management communications needs around messaging and awareness.

  • Establish and implement process for evaluating and creating Product Comms opportunities across Equinix.

  • Support change management and organizational communications initiatives as needed.

  • Proactively design and manage strategic visibility opportunities for the Product organization. ​

Qualifications

  • 7+ year preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant comms or PR experience for a technology company or agency preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (samples required).

  • Combination of excellent analytical skills with the ability to be creative.

  • Experience working closely with senior level executives.

  • Experience working across a matrixed / distributed organization.

  • Enterprise tech experience required.

  • Must be excellent at creating and maintaining collaborative working relationships across all levels and disciplines, receptive to feedback and input from others and quick to apply changes. ​ Effective working relationship with team members, including global counterparts.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

  • Rigorous attention to detail, organizational skills, and quality of work is a must.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management.

  • Leadership and accountability — owning communications plans and projects from start to finish and on time.

  • Keen understanding of social media and its role in brand awareness.

  • Keen business acumen: ability to translate business goals to communication campaigns and tactics.

  • Experience launching products and initiatives, creatively.

  • Internal communications experience is a bonus.

  • A self-starter with the ability to formulate a clear point of view and exercise high judgement​.

  • Ability to shape and drive strategy globally. ​

  • An agile, flexible individual with a “can-do” problem-solving approach to managing ambiguity​.

  • Diploma to a Bachelors degree. BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or equivalent highly preferred.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $98K- $132K per year with 20% bonus target.
