Job Summary: Provides end to end technical solution designs, recommends development tools and standards. Engages with business and BSAs to determine best possible end to end solutions, advises on feasibility and cost of recommended solutions. Considers stability, interoperability, security, or scalability of architecture.
Hands-on Architecture & Design of Equinix integration platform working in collaboration with Product, Business functions, Engineering & IT teams
Provide technology architecture, design & governance services around programmable interfaces (APIs)
Be a core member of Equinix Architecture council to review and publish integration platform architecture guidelines
Strong advocate of integration platform(s) and its significance in organizations digital transformation strategy
Developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of platforms, industry and technical trends
Clearly articulate and communicate tactical and strategic messages to all business and technical groups
Publish case-studies, white papers, blogs and present technical information
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent with 15+ years in the field of Information Technology, Software or Computer Science Engineering
A high sense of ownership, passion, and conviction
An obsession with customer experience, product fidelity, developer documentation, API ecosystem and exceptional developer experience
Minimum 5+ years of strong hands-on software Architecture experience in building software platforms
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable, secure & distributed software systems
Strong understanding of Orchestration patterns and Cloud native concepts
Working experience with Swagger (Open API Spec), OAuth, REST, JSON, XML & other API Standards including Streaming, Events & Message based models
Proven ability to quickly grasp the implications of evolving industry trends & technology intersects in the partner integration space of Data center, Cloud, APIs, Containers, Internet of Thing (IoT) or equivalent
Strong analytical skills & technical acumen along with knowledge of platform development principles
Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
