Job Summary: The Principal Product Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for the rollout, adoption, support and success of Equinix Metal in the Americas region. Specific key responsibilities include:
Lead the creation with product, sales and marketing the go-to-market strategy and product marketing execution plan for the region
Provide business development coverage to support longer term opportunities (e.g., >6 months)
Equip and enable sales readiness to position the full value of the product within the content of solutions and the Platform Equinix
Serves as the product champion, giving the product a voice within the region
Go-to-Market
Manage the execution of regional and global product marketing go-to-market strategy and plans, in conjunction with core product, business development, vertical marketing, partner marketing teams
Accountable for end-to-end product launch activity
Contributes to the development of global product positioning and messaging that establishes the need for Equinix products in the market and differentiates them against the competition and substitutes
Product
Responsible for communicating the product strategy, vision and roadmap to the region
Capture the voice of the customer and feedback from customer facing sales and support organizations to help guide future feature functionality investment decisions
Act as regional expert on the Competitive Landscape, keeping the organization abreast of adjacent technologies and evolving threats
Identify and prioritize markets for future product investment including business case preparation
Business Development
Work with AMER BD and sales in support of strategic longer term (i.e., > 6 months) opportunities
Work with regional presidents and sales management to develop and drive targeted sales, partner enablement programs
Participate in regional customer advisory boards and other forums, provide actionable insight as needed to drive positive change in the performance of our products in region
Evangelize & Orchestrate
Coordinate with global product marketing, product management and sales readiness teams to ensure the sales organizations are equipped and enabled to effectively position and sell the value of the product
Support regional customer meetings, public speaking opportunities, analyst briefings, partner forums as a product SME
Ensure smooth handover of new products and services from product development to the regional marketing, sales and sales support teams
10+ years with Business or Technology focus, with at least 5 years in product marketing or business development experience
Product management and Product marketing experience gained from IT/Telco MNC’s (experience of cloud connectivity, network & server virtualization ideal); Experience in high-growth business sectors
Market expertise in Cloud Networking, SDN, Network Virtualization, Containerization, Compute and Storage
Ability to analyze complex business issues, identify, design & implement effective practical recommendations
Deep customer-facing and market-facing experience
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with Marketing, Sales Leadership and Country Managers;
Sets high personal standards and is goal oriented
Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
Able to operate in a performance driven organization
Leadership of highly visible programs with proven project management skills
Technical and/or business degree

For CO residents: In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for this role is $134,000 – $187,000 per year with 25% bonus target.
