Role Summary

The Payroll Senior Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll operations across APAC. This position requires deep payroll expertise, strong analytical capability, and hands-on experience working with multicounty vendor models and payroll systems.‑on experience working with multi‑country vendor models and payroll systems.

You will support end-to-end payroll delivery, manage incident and change requests, contribute to system upgrades, and strengthen operational excellence across the region. Key Responsibilities

1. Multicountry Payroll Operations‑Country Payroll Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for assigned APAC markets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.‑to‑end payroll processing for assigned APAC markets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

  • Validate payroll outputs, statutory filings, and government submissions in alignment with local regulations.

  • Escalate and resolve issues with vendors to maintain service quality and payroll integrity.

  • Ensure strong internal controls, data privacy, and audit readiness across all payroll activities.

2. Payroll Systems, Projects & Technology Enablement

  • Support payroll system transitions, upgrades, configuration updates, and enhancement projects.

  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), troubleshoot system defects, and validate data during project cycles.

  • Contribute to requirements gathering, documentation updates, and change request management.

  • Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure system readiness and alignment with business needs.

3. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess payroll processes to identify bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities for standardization or automation.

  • Maintain and evolve payroll documentation including SOPs, country-specific procedures, checklists, and controls.

  • Participate in regional continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

4. Vendor & Cross Functional Collaboration‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR (HRA/HRS), Finance, Global Stocks, and other cross-functional partners to support integrated payroll operations.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with controls.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 4 years of payroll operations experience supporting APAC markets.

  • Strong understanding of regional payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and country-specific payroll nuances.‑specific payroll nuances.

  • Experience with payroll reporting and statutory filings (month-end, quarter-end, year-end).

  • Hands‑on experience working with payroll vendors and multi-country payroll delivery models.

  • Experience working in shared services, multinational organizations, or regional payroll structures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • High cultural awareness and ability to collaborate across diverse APAC markets.

  • Knowledge of SOX controls, internal controls, and payroll documentation standards.

  • Amenable to Hybrid Set Up

Preferred

  • Experience with payroll system implementation, enhancements, or UAT cycles.

  • Exposure to leading payroll platforms (e.g., ADP GlobalView, SAP Payroll, ADP Celergo, Workday, Kronos, Service Cloud).

  • Payroll certifications such as CPP, CFP, or country-specific equivalents.‑specific equivalents.

  • Experience acting as a payroll SME or senior point of escalation.

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
