Manager
What is the role about?
In this position you will build and develop the Channel business for the German sales territory and by that identify, prospect and generate new business for all EQUINIX verticals. You will expand sales footprint through existing and new partnerships, leverage partners’ existing relationships with end users, package complimentary services to drive mutually beneficial sales. Focus is to drive “sell through” and “sell with” relationships with the Partners.
What is the role about?
Build positive working relationships with channel and technology partners to maximize commercial and operational efficiencies
Act as the accountable owner of Channel deal registrations/funnel development
Documentation of Channel partner forecasting and activity with accurate records
Drive and respond to partner pipeline opportunities
Become a Subject Matter Expert and trusted Advisor on the Equinix partner proposition
Manage and develop a list of partners as agreed between local sales leadership, Channel Team, and Global Channel organization.
Manage and enable existing/new partners to advance sales growth
Develop a Go-to-Market plan together with the German Channel Lead and Channel Marketing
Execute on joint solutions and a comprehensive Go-to-Market plans
Drive partner education and enablement locally in close collaboration with the technical teams
Promote the Channel message internally and externally
Resolve partner related challenges in a timely fashion
Deliver sales presentations with partners to customers, prospects and alliances
Conduct business reviews and implement recommended improvements/changes
Liaising with other Equinix departments, such as Field Sales, Sales Engineering and Marketing
Who are you?
Fluent German and English language skills
Strong, pro-active and transparent communicator with a go-beyond attitude
Demonstrable track record of building channel business successfully in a fast-growing environment
Existing relationships with market leading partners
Comprehensive understanding of Partner Sales, including relevant Industry Knowledge
Ability to influence business leaders (internally and externally) and be their trusted advisor
Affinity to work cross-functional, identifying and understanding complex sales scenarios
Intercultural understanding and global cooperation ability
Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills
