Job Summary

In this entry level, high-tech sales role, you will generate qualified leads for our Americas Sales team via cold calling and account research as well as pursue limited sales opportunities. As an entry level Sales Associate, you will play a meaningful role in meeting Equinix’s aggressive growth expectations as you generate new business opportunities to fuel the development of our America’s pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Researching accounts, identifying key players, generating interest, and developing accounts to stimulate business development

  • Scheduling discovery calls with qualified customers

  • Openly providing detailed feedback on the success of sales campaigns to our Sales Management Team and Marketing Managers

  • Conducting high-level discovery and educational conversations with Senior Executives (C-Level, VP/Director) in target accounts

  • Partner with your teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities

  • You aren't afraid to pick up the phone and can maintain a call volume of 75-150 calls per day with the intent to qualify leads and build pipeline growth

  • You achieve goals and can meet or exceed your bookings quota

  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and competition is important and you understand this will help you to be successful in the role

  • Recording and documenting all calls and communications in Equinix’s Customer Relations Management tool in order to identify trends for improvement

  • You understand a lead can come from anywhere, and you will monitor the social web for sales opportunities and leads

  • You own and deliver reporting on weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree required

  • Experience defining process and procedures for calling, reporting, training and metrics

  • You are a pro at multi-tasking and juggling many simultaneous priorities while keeping track of the details
