Job Summary: Lead the vision for the creation and implementation of content for modern learning, virtual reality simulation, video scripting and improving the overall learning experiences for Global Operations. Oversee its design, development, and implementation, and assess its outcomes. Own the blueprint for developing content intelligences and a maturity model for content operations. Ensures quality of deliverables to meet stakeholder expectations.
This agile, flexible, service-oriented person is an expert in techniques for developing content, Instructional Systems Design, and assessment strategies, as well as modern learning approaches and delivery methods of learning. This person focuses helping customer solve challenges and is quite adept in front-end analysis, as well as the remaining training needs analyses elements. This person will supervise and mentor Instructional Designers on project work and practice-related process improvement activities and drive a LEAN, agile process.
Responsibilities
Training Program Management
Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within an organization
Identify critical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to support performance
Collaborate with Operations IBX (International Business Exchange) teams to identify needs for new content topics, and apply appropriate engaging learning delivery methods
Instructional Design
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices for future learning deliveries, such as virtual reality, gamification, simulation and video
Develop an evidence-based instructional strategy for different training or learning interventions based upon established learning objectives, learner needs and characteristics, and learning environments
Stay abreast of changes in instructional design and adult education, and instructional technology, particularly as related to the impacts of emerging technology such as VR/AR, biometric measurement for assessment, etc.
Training & Training Delivery
Deploy a wide variety of learning support ecosystems
Utilize and introduce optimal methods
Research and evaluate leading-edge learning concepts, methodologies, and techniques to determine relevant application
Recommend technology tools and modalities for learning and performance support ecosystems
Project Management
Manage multiple objectives, portfolios, curricula, projects, associates, and activities to prioritize and allocate time appropriately
Drive maximum value delivery and high quality for job performance
Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the assigned projects
Metrics & Analytics
Monitor, evaluate, and report on training program effectiveness
Recommend measurement and assessment strategies for performance targets and learning activities
Team Leadership
Model and drive quality and performance in the instructional design-development team
Provide opportunities for ongoing development
Provide direct supervision, mentoring, and guidance to all members of the instructional design-development team
Business Performance and Training Consulting
Model and implement a holistic consultation process
Manage the vision and strategy for the training experience within the organization
Build strategic relationships with staff, partners, and customers to enhance the work environment, product quality and success, and client satisfaction
Thought Leadership and Strategy
Envision, propose, advocate, and execute a strategy for training development
Creatively apply extensive evidence-based and personal knowledge of adult learning theories, user-centric design, and business and organizational acumen to continuous improvement programs
Utilize key measures (KPIs) and benchmarks to insure consistent delivery of high-quality training materials
Qualifications
5+ years of experience performing instructional design in large enterprises
Experience and passion for leading, developing and supporting a team of professionals
Track record of evidence-based creative solutions across the entire spectrum of the entire instructional design process
Solid experience in a manufacturing or other hands-on technical environment
Deep experience in solution system and curriculum design
Solid project management and relationship skills
Agile and LEAN project methodologies success
Strong visual and media design/instructional message design skills
A track record of guiding instructional designers and developers
A strong portfolio of ILT, WBT, performance support, and immersive learning design across multiple modalities
Strong experience in train-the-trainer implementations
Preferred Qualifications
Articulate Storyline proficiency
Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio proficiency
SnagIt and Camtasia proficiency
Voice over standards and production knowledge
Batchelor’s or master’s degree in instructional technology or instructional design preferred

For CO residents: In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for this role is $67K – $94K per year with 15% bonus target.
