Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales, SEs, and CSMs to validate requirements against customer scope and Equinix process.
  • Coordinate with local site leadership to commit to binding customer ready dates based upon documented requirements.
  • Work closely with site leadership to manage local IBX Ops resources to achieve timely delivery of new and expanded, supplemented complex customer installations.
  • Manage projects at the IBX level to ensure implementations meet customer and Equinix quality standards.
  • Conducts customer meeting. Responsible for preparing customized presentation material as required by customers. Understands clients’ cage footprints, layouts, configurations, and contractual agreements.
  • Perform on premise activities, including but not limited to surveys, measurements, vendor supervision and field verification.
  • Responsible for resolving a wide range of standard and non-standard project challenges to facilitate timely implementations.
  • Proposes and develops solutions cross-functionally to solve non-standard client requests.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, measured via satisfaction surveys and cross-departmental feedback.
  • Able to identify and manage project risk factors, lead project issue resolution, document and distribute records of key decisions.
  • Creates and manages complex, cross-functional project plans.
  • Leads the team and provides guidance and support on development of project implementation plans
  • Considers and develops unique project plans to manage implementation of customers' non-standard/complex deployments (Requirement)
  • Analyzes metrics to identify IBX Operations system and process issues, proposes solutions and works with Regional Operations for implementation of solutions
  • Leads the Equinix Customer One (ECO) systems training development, testing and enhancing of the ECO platform, ensures that all operations staffs are well trained and familiar with ECO
  • Functions as ECO subject matter expert

Must have:

  • Fluent in both written spoken business Japanese and English.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an Implementation equivalent role or prior relevant Equinix experience.
  • Degree level qualification, preferably in a technical subject.
  • Experience in executing the critical project in timely manner, customer facing role.
  • Experience working in a regional and global team and in a matrix environment.
  • Proven track record in building positive relationship with customers.
  • Experience in a technical industry; preferably IT, telecommunications or Data Centers.
  • Collaborative personality and able to build strong personal relationships.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and dedication to resolve issues.
  • Calm and effective under pressure. Able to remain professional in high stress situations.
  • Able to plan, execute and manage high volumes of work.
  • Embraces changes.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of the technical service industry preferred.
  • Able to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Adept at crafting concise and effective communications.
  • Flexible attitude in accepting unique and non-standard solutions.
  • Must be able to travel domestically.
