Job Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the renewable energy purchasing team’s pursuit of clean and sustainable energy to power our data centers. The primary focus of the role is the cross-functional support of Equinix's Global Renewable Energy and Cleantech program and ancillary support of Equinix’s energy and sustainability teams across its operations.
Equinix is striving to create process and structure in support of our renewable energy goals and targets in order to more efficiently meet the current and future needs of our business.
Responsible for day-to-day program and project management of key renewable energy and cleantech workstreams across areas such as offsite and onsite renewable energy, distributed energy technologies (solar, fuel cells, batteries, etc.), REC tracking, contract management and vendor negotiations.
Support of renewable energy and cleantech reporting, including tracking and quantitative analysis of key metrics and developing dashboards.
Develop subject-matter expertise and research on renewable energy and cleantech topics and innovations in the field.
Manage complex workstreams with cross-functional stakeholders, including gathering and synthesizing KPIs, supporting renewable energy and sustainability reporting.
Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders including supporting the Utilities & Energy Operations team, Global Design and Construction, Global Operations, Sales & Customers, Investor & Analyst Relations and Marketing.
Support greenhouse gas reporting and industry best practices around carbon accounting and meeting climate change targets.
3+ years related experience preferred (Desired experience in energy, renewable energy, analytics, project management, or sustainability).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Data Science or relevant discipline required.
Master’s or MBA preferred.
Working knowledge specific to energy markets, environment and emissions as it pertains to renewable energy.
Knowledge of offsite vPPAs, onsite distributed energy resources, batteries, and fuel cells preferred.
Tracking, prioritization, and project management experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex topics to a broad range of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing and sometimes urgent deadlines and experience influencing upwards to keep programs and projects moving
Communicate clearly and effectively: verbally, in writing and through presentations; successfully interfacing with internal and external constituents.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $98,000 - $132,000 per year with 20% bonus target.
