Job Summary:
The Global Physical Security Project Manager uses wide-ranged advanced experience to lead and support the development and implementation of physical security programs and projects that have strategic global physical security impact, aimed at customer and operational improvement. This role will leverage business security expertise to determine methods and processes on new procedures. The Global Physical Security Project Manager will be responsible for working directly with 10+ cross-functional tracks and will have 30+ active stakeholders that will need regular engagement and will be responsible for supporting and running workshops and liaising with international stakeholders across the business.This role support very large, complex, and challenging projects and will need a seasoned and technical Project Manager who has advanced project management disciplines to get the team to the finish line. Outstanding communication, organizational and investigation skills, along with the ability to decipher issues, identify root causes and propose effective solutions are key characteristics for this role.
Program & Project Management
May manage security directs, sub-directs and lead the coordination the completion of security projects, deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitor progress of programs and complex projects
Provides feedback on project management methodologies, tools, techniques and lead process improvement and efficiency projects
Leads multiple tasks within cross-functional project teams and relevant business partners
Leads program and project implementation working closely with subject matter experts through project initiation, solution selection, functional design, development, testing and implementation
Works with Leadership to obtain business requirements engaging cross-functional stakeholders
May create and manages program and project plans
Anticipates areas for continuous improvement and lessons learned, and leads the team on closing gaps
Provides clarity on very complex programs and project, breaking them down to simple tasks for the project teams to understand and execute
Ensures planning standards are reviewed and improved at regular intervals
Where required will advise the team on stakeholder management
Seeks opportunities to build effective stakeholder relationships on behalf of the team
Identify and report to leadership dependencies, risks, and issues to meet deadlines
Encourages feedback and develops stakeholder knowledge of function and assist in managing expectations
Escalate to resolve complex stakeholder issues
Report status by providing periodic program and project updates, highlighting risks, issues, concerns, and mitigation plans
Supports the creation of metrics and dashboards to measure process efficiencies to validate process changes are creating the desired results
May present to executive level stakeholders on a regular basis
Processes
Recommends solutions for systematic process-related problems and makes recommendations for continuous improvement and support implementation of changes
Uses wide-ranged advanced experience in leading cross-functional process rollouts
Leads cross-functional teams and process rollout within the IBX, and refines the development and definition of security and business processes in the IBX, recommends/proposes solutions for systematic process-related complex problems
Determines methods and procedures for continuous improvement and supports implementation of changes and assists with process and maintenance adherence
Design Engineering
Supports both existing and new design methods and standards for new IT security product platforms, to include defining business requirements, user stories, overseeing development, user acceptance and production testing for hardware/software turnover.
Leads and provides guidance to other employees within the job family and works across the broader organization to help shape improvement decisions
Recommends alterations to design, development, implementation, and analysis to improve quality of products, new technologies, procedures and/or efficiencies
Systems Support
Possesses expert knowledge of security systems and core IT security product platforms
Support the development of methods to improve core security platforms minimize issues, and prioritizes recommendations for new enhancements, installation procedures and systems
Provides solutioning, process and system leadership to IBX Operations and system administrators who install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the security systems/platforms for the organization
Supports and may lead Single Point of Failure (SPOF) and End of Life (EOL) reviews, including performing system and platform resilience audits, assessments, and remediation
Assists with vendor, manufacture and internal IT/Product team escalation of systems errors and failures
Training
Contributes to identifying and developing training programs, and may lead the implementation of training programs across multiple business units
Monitors training plans and performance to ensure that plans are on track and performance is met, with regular review
Assist in the development of industry knowledge and may provide recommendations for the team
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Management, Business, or a related discipline preferred
7+ years’ experience preferred
Excellent program and project management skills
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
Proficient ability to organize and prioritize tasks and workload, and good administrative skills, with and ability to work within tight deadlines
Strong ability to take a pragmatic and commercial approach. Able to multi-task and work with limited supervision
Experience working with various cross-functional teams and across multi-cultural environments
Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
Experience participating in cross functional workshops or kaizen events
Change Management / Lean Six Sigma certifications or experience preferred
Experience with MS Project, Jira, and Visio
Ability to travel internationally
Able to work flexible hours within a global organization
