Job Summary:
Equinix’s Global M&A Team is looking to hire a SeniorAssociate. M&A has been a critical driver of growth for Equinix, and this position is an excellent way to be part of a rapidly growing publicly listed company that lies at the intersection of technology and real estate. The individual in this role will support the team in evaluating acquisition opportunities as Equinix seeks to continuously enhance its position in the datacenter sector, and broadly relevance in the communications infrastructure landscape. This is a high visibility and high impact role.
Responsibilities
Support adhoc review of acquisition, JV, Strategic Partnerships and Equity Investment opportunities.
Actively follow and analyze announcements and deal activity in the broader landscape; Summarize and provide updates on a regular basis
In an active transaction
Assist with developing transaction execution timelines
Coordinate and lead due diligence sessions with target company management, external investment advisors and cross functional teams
Assist with tracking and managing diligence requests; Support identification of deal issues and work with responsible teams to complete diligence
Support development of business models and synergy forecasts for targets
Support development of deal valuation frameworks such as (1) valuation analysis based on comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow and related investment returns (2) organic vs. inorganic options comparison (3) accretion / dilution and other pro-forma metrics
Assist in planning communications at close of a transaction as well as support hand-off to Business Integration Team Leads
Own maintenance of core infrastructure for the M&A Team such as Transaction and Trading Comparable database, M&A Model & Diligence Lists
Assist with development of executive staff and board presentation materials on an as needed basis
Assist with Strategic Game board discussions
Develop effective working relationships with the regional corporate development, product, technology, engineering & other supporting teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting
Up to four years of experience in Top-Tier Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory or relevant Corporate Development.
We are open to candidates with FP&A background to the extent they have demonstrable, strong experience in developing financial models.
Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
Strong financial analysis, accounting, and financial modelling skills
Strong work ethic
Willingness and enthusiasm to build relationships across organization
Ability to deliver well thought out, accurate, work product on time and under pressure
Industry Background in Networking, Data Center preferred but not a must
