Job Summary

Equinix is seeking a candidate to fulfill a U.S. Federal Government Contracts Manager role, with the candidate primarily responsible for supporting the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence business. This role will manage active contracts and engagements, and act as liaison with Equinix Sales Account Executives and Equinix Program Managers to ensure compliance with contract terms.  

  

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to hold a U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance.  

  

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory guidance and support to the business on the handling of customer contracting issues 

  • Understand, adhere to, and promote company ethics and compliance policies

  • Communicate and correspond directly with customer contracting officials

  • Use functional experience and expertise in the review and administration of nondisclosure, teaming, and subcontracting agreements

  • Identify, develop and implement enhancements to internal U.S. government contract policy and processes, including templates and documents

  • Conduct proposal preparation including examination of RFP solicitation requirements and estimates, analyzing terms and conditions to evaluate risks to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, and proposal submission  

  • Travel to company locations or customer sites as necessary

  

Qualifications:  

  • Demonstrative business work experience in directing, managing, or supervising the customer contracting process with the U.S. federal government (including formation, negotiation, and administration activities) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Excellent knowledge of and significant experience with U.S. acquisition regulations and all types of contracting procedures. Commercial contracts legal knowledge preferred

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a closely related discipline

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in contracts management preferred (e.g., NCMA, CPCM or CFCM, DAWIA)

  • Competent, accurate, proactive, resourceful, independent, organized, able to manage multiple contracting actions, prioritize effectively to meet deadlines, address risk, achieve results,  

  •  an effective time manager with strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and ability to foster/manage relationships across multiple departments and external customers

  • Adaptable, flexible, pragmatic and solution-oriented

  • Analytical approach to problem solving, risk assessment, and strategy

  • Articulate, with great communication and drafting skills

  • Excellent proposal development skills, strong ability to navigate complex negotiations, and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to issue spot based on extensive past work experience and formal training received

  • Prepared to use technology tools with strong Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance, existing TS/SCI and full scope polygraph preferred

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - DC97 Washington DC : 130,000 - 194,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
