As an Equinix Operations Center Specialist, the successful candidate will join a team responsible for 24/7 monitoring of IBX data center facility alarms, monitor IBX security, assist site teams in resolving system issues, and construct professional, accurate and timely written alerts to be broadcast to key internal and external stakeholders. The majority of communications will take place in the English language, supporting pan-European sites.

Responsibilities
System Monitoring
· 24x7x365 monitoring of IBX security and infrastructure alarms

Documentation & Processing
· Ensures timely and accurate input of access information into access control system
· Processes inbound access requests from customers, carriers, and our sites
· Dispatches service requests, trouble and alarm tickets

Technical Expertise
· Builds familiarity with BMS systems, security access control systems, and basic data center infrastructure
· Has working knowledge of security best practices

Systems Support & Maintenance
· Processes inbound alerts from essential systems and network elements
· Provides timely response to all access and CCTV related alarms
· Processes site maintenance and outage notifications

Problem Solving
· Ability to identify and resolve, or report, a detected problem
· Escalates trouble cases and emergencies as needed to lead and/or management personnel

Training
· Participate in required internal training courses
· Receives guidance and support from others

· Receive additional training as requirements evolve as necessary


·Project Management
· Follows instructions on departmental projects

· Testing the development of internal systems

Quality Assurance
· Assists with basic QA and escalates trouble cases to lead and/or management as needed
