Overall Purpose

Responsible for sales territory planning and maintaining account hierarchies in SFDC in the on-going effort to increase overall sales productivity. Also responsible for the EMEA Compensation team. Handling commission payouts for all EMEA payrolls, Sales Comp Issue Tracker resolution, compliance with the Global Sales Incentive Plan and related policies. This person will manage a team of 8-10 individuals roughly evenly split between Planning and Compensation functions.

Principal Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the EMEA Sales Operations Director for Planning, Compensation and Reporting, the EMEA Comp & Planning Manager is responsible for quota and territory setting for the EMEA Field and Channel Sales organizations. They are also responsible for maintaining the SFDC account hierarchy and drive continued improvement in our planning process.

This role needs to be able to conduct segmentation and quantitative analysis in addition to providing support for sales analytics and sales planning. This involves the development of reports, standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving overall sales operations efficiencies for both the Sales Operations team but also for the Sales Leaders. This role will also handle EMEA Sales Compensation team and their related duties including monthly compensation payments, SCIT resolution, compliance with the GSIP and related policies.

The successful candidate should also have the confidence and ability to present on a regular basis to Senior Sales management and Global Sales Operations leadership on relevant trends and changes in patterns.

High Level Overview of Responsibilities

  • Regional leader for annual sales territory and quota planning
  • Drive continuous improvements in planning models and data
  • Work closely with regional and global counterparts
  • Build and maintain analytical models for on-going planning and analysis
  • Head of EMEA Sales compensation and its related duties

Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Responsibilities

  • Provide reporting support to EMEA Marketing for projects that impact EMEA Sales in conjunction with Marketing Operations.
  • Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to Senior Sales Management on performance of the EMEA region, the countries and verticals within the region, the Equinix Data Centers, etc.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on Sales Rep Performance to EMEA Sales Management and Global Sales Operations e.g. Stack Rankings, President’s Club Rankings, Slides for President’s Deck.
  • Maintain and track the output from the Annual Quota Setting process.
  • Coordination with the Sales Compensation team to ensure reps receive accurate Sales Incentive Plans.
  • Meeting monthly payroll deadlines
  • Reviewing monthly payroll files
  • Escalation point for comp related issues

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong English communication skills, written and oral
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data to reach conclusions and make recommendations
  • Attention to detail and requirement for accuracy
  • Very strong skill/knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access including macros and VBA
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Extensive experience analysing data and delivering reports in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Previous experience with Salesforce.com, Anaplan, Incent and Tableau is a plus
