Role Summary

Our customers rely on our Smart Hands service to act as an extension of their own workforce, providing round-the-clock, on-site operational support for customer data center equipment from within remote and globally distributed Equinix facilities.

As Director of Smart Hands Product Management, you will be responsible for developing the service vision, strategy and pricing based upon your insight into the colocation market, customer behavior and desired user experience. You will create a seamless, industry leading service experience by simplifying and modernizing ordering interfaces, developing world-class scheduling and fulfillment capabilities, and structuring economically viable subscription plans.

The role requires significant collaboration with internal stakeholders, commercial savvy, and responsiveness to customer feedback. We are looking for someone excited about improving and globalizing outcomes for customers, operations, and the business. You will lead a team of Product Managers and Technical Product managers who will support you as you socialize, systematize, execute and expand your vision.

Responsibilities

Develop and Evangelize Product Vision

  • Partner with Customer Experience, Operations, and Product Engineering to build and evolve product strategy, road map and feature prioritization
  • Develop value positioning, scope of services, collateral and pricing to bring offerings from ideation to market
  • Bridge the gaps between business objectives, customer feedback, technical delivery, and financial viability of Product offerings
  • Champion long-term Product vision, planning and go-to-market strategies
  • Define, implement, monitor, and report key product and project metrics

Develop Strong Cross-Functional Partnerships

  • Establish relationships and work cross-functionally throughout the organization
  • Inspire, guide, coach and empower others in the Product Management discipline.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with users, stakeholders, peers, and team members

Drive World-Class Service Delivery

  • Act as an evangelist for services, assisting sales with selling and serving as a collaborative resource for our strategic customers
  • Participate in the refinement, implementation and automation of scaling product services policies, processes, procedures and tools based on client feedback
  • Analyze customer feedback, identify root causes, align with stakeholders on workarounds, and develop permanent solutions

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a product leader or relevant adjacent experience in professional services, product management, operational fulfillment or customer facing role
  • 5+ years of progressive product management experience
  • 2+ years of experience hiring, training, coaching and developing staff
  • Experience leveraging market intelligence and customer feedback to optimize service fulfillment
  • Strong working knowledge of product management disciplines including UX/UI

In accordance with NYC Pay Transparency Law (https://legistar.council.nyc.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3713951&GUID=E7B03ABA-8F42-4341-A0D2-50E2F95320CD&Options=Advanced&Search= ) the salary range for this role is $166,000– $297,000 per year with 30% bonus target. 

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for this role is $141,000 – $197,000 per year with 30% bonus target.
