The Director of Segment Marketing Asia Pacific is a leadership role in the Global Segment Marketing team, reporting to the VP of Segment Marketing. This leader, together with their regional team are the primary interface for Segment Marketing in the Asia Pacific region (including India & Korea). 
Segment Marketing is responsible for defining what to focus on (segment strategy & targeting), the value proposition (thought leadership & pursuit tools) and trusted partner practices (verticalized pursuit engagement) in close partnership with, and tailored to, our Customers. Delivered “in service to” and through: Marketing, Sales, Product & Partner team activities.


As such, this executive role (and team) is the bridge to those organizations to ensure that communication, simplified meaning, and effective adoption of the segment marketing story, tools, and practices is occurring effectively in the field.

The team is globally aligned, yet geographically mapped to directly support local field selling & marketing activities.
 

Roles/Responsibilities
Individually 

  • Communicating the Segment Strategy internally to, and collaborating with, key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Product & Partner organizations.
  • Manage internal regional stakeholder communications and alignment
  • Manage regional metrics & outcomes in Segmentation Trends, QBRs and Reporting 
  • Manage the regional team and ensure they remain globally aligned, yet geographically mapped to directly support local field selling & marketing activities
  • Monitor, manage, and develop our internal industry SME communities in order to crowdsource learnings and share intelligence globally – with team assigned leads. 
  • Act as an Executive Sponsor/Speaker as needed for C-level briefings, Customer Advisory Board recruiting and onboarding, and other account support in data analytics competency and personal growth & development
  • Develop the skills and value of our team

Regional Team  

  • Continuously communicate and validate our insights and strategy publicly with Customers, Events/Panels, AR & PR.
  • Sponsor and develop Industry communities of interest fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in conjunction with regional segment counterparts.
  • Support Sales & Partner pursuit planning and customer engagements with segment marketing & field SME recommendations
  • Support Corporate, Product, & Partner Marketing activities with Segment & SME perspectives. 

Education
•    Bachelor's degree required
 

Background/Experience

  • 10 years of Sales and/or Solution Selling experience required 
  • 5 years’ experience in Cloud, SaaS & Information Technology Industry
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Sales or a solution/industry marketing function
