Job Summary
This role is focused on creating, maintaining and evolving the product catalog and product information management applications used to support and enable our services. As the Director, Product Management for our Data Center Services’ product catalog, you will be responsible for defining a critical part of the roadmap, in partnership with Product, Publishing, Engineering, and other cross-functional groups. Our ideal candidate has in-depth experience working on product catalog driven platforms within large-scale, enterprise product information management systems, defining catalog content, specifying application features and implementing production workflows from initial conceptualization through requirements definition, interface design, and final delivery.
This position requires a deep understanding of how digital product catalogs, structured product information and schemas enable and improve customer features and experiences. A strong technical understanding of eCommerce, catalogdriven customer interfaces, product schemas, graph databases, taxonomies and ontologies. The role will own the product data lifecycle understanding and issue investigation for data integrity, governance, and support of launches. Proven success in business process improvement/re-engineering. Strong quantitative and qualitative business and data analysis skills. Detailed understanding of product hierarchies, hierarchy management and strategic processes is preferred, including product configuration and bundles. High situational fluency.
The role requires significant collaboration with internal stakeholders, commercial savvy, and responsiveness to customer feedback. We are looking for someone excited about improving and globalizing outcomes for customers, operations, and the business.
This role will have one entry-level product manager and reports to the VP, Colocation - Data Center Services.
Responsibilities
Develop and Evangelize Product Catalog Vision
Partner with Product Leaders, Customer Experience, Operations, Technical Sales and Product Engineering to build and evolve product catalog strategy, road map and feature prioritization
Develop value positioning, scope of services, collateral and pricing to bring offerings from ideation to market
Bridge the gaps between business objectives, customer feedback, technical delivery, and financial viability of Product offerings
Champion long-term Product catalog vision, planning and go-to-market strategies
Define, implement, monitor, and report key product and project metrics
Ensure consistency between detailed product description, available entitlements, and supporting services
Develop Strong Cross-Functional Partnerships
Establish relationships and work cross-functionally throughout the organization
Inspire, guide, coach and empower others in the Product Management discipline.
Manage and maintain strong relationships with users, stakeholders, peers, and team members
Drive World-Class Service Delivery
Act as an evangelist for services, assisting sales with selling and serving as a collaborative resource for our strategic customers
Champion catalog-driven customer service interfaces for discovery, quote, order, renewal and management
Participate in the refinement, implementation and automation of scaling product services policies, processes, procedures and tools based on client feedback
Analyze customer feedback, identify root causes, align with stakeholders on workarounds, and develop permanent solutions
Develop quote to cash workflows that are optimized for the user communities
Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a product leader or relevant adjacent experience in professional services, product management, operational fulfillment or customer facing role
5+ years of progressive product management experience
2+ years of experience hiring training and coaching staff
In-depth experience designing and building software, hardware & services catalogs within large-scale, enterprise product information management systems, defining application features and implementing production workflows from initial conceptualization through requirements definition, interface design, and final delivery
Experience leveraging market intelligence and customer feedback to optimize service fulfillment
Strong working knowledge of product management disciplines including UX/UI
Experience defining products/services for the colocation data center business including the physical form factor, ordering experience, deployment methods, fulfillment activities, and service level requirements
