Job Summary: As Global Alliance Director, you are responsible for existing global Equinix Alliance Partners relationships and for targeting, capturing, and growing targeted new Alliance Partner prospects in partnership with Equinix Business Development teams. Reporting to the Global Managing Director – Amazon Strategic Alliance, this role requires a strong balance of business development, program design, program oversight, cross region coordination, staff leadership skills and results measurement. The person in this role must be able to work collaboratively with several adjacent teams in Equinix (direct sales, marketing, solutions architects, business development, sales operations) and with partner program team members in the field to execute measurable key success factors with the partner (pipeline & bookings through the program), with our direct sales organization and with selective reseller partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on partner objectives set by partner and regional management, including quota retirement

  • Translate common Platform Equinix capabilities into high value joint solution for target partner types to repeat and scale the GTM engine. Define and clearly articulate the key drivers and value points for partner decision makers that lead to partner adoption of and loyalty to Equinix services

  • Partner with, lead and advise the Regional Alliance Directors in all aspects of their jobs, including owning Alliance Partner performance and key success measure attainment, and coordination of cross functional teams (sales, marketing, technical, operations) needed to support Alliance Partner Program efforts.

  • Ensure adoption of, adherence to and support various program guidelines, rules, and measures

  • Assist as needed in the development of required support materials for the program

  • Measure and report on success of assigned partner

  • Identify target Partners and help with recruitment, training, and on-boarding of new partners

  • Enhance the reputation of the AWS Strategic Alliances team by pursuing thought leadership/technical proficiency; pursuit of relevant accreditation and certifications is encouraged but not required

  • Serve as a liaison between the Strategic Alliances, Product Management and Partner Development teams at Equinix and AWS

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen business relationships with assigned partners

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with cloud partner management, driving joint solutions with hyperscalers

  • Significant experience with partner sales and channel development

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with an analytical approach toward growing our important Alliance with AWS.

  • Strong partner program management experience, an understanding of business development, financial contribution models, and ROI calculations.

  • Demonstrated experience with IT services and shifting cloud consumption models (networking, cloud services and hybrid cloud solutions) are key areas of knowledge and experience.
