Job Summary: Leads the Global Mobility & Immigration function for the Equinix Group, across all continents.

Responsibilities

HR Strategy

  • Develops and drives the Global Mobility strategy to align with the Talent strategy

  • Delivers to the HR strategy for the functional area

  • Drives the implementation of HR strategy and associated initiatives

Operating Framework

  • Determines and owns the operating model for Global mobility & Immigration, including vendor strategy and vendor management to achieve functional goals.

  • Develops and governs Global Mobility & Immigration policies for the Group

  • Designs and continually improves global processes to ensure the seamless execution of Global Mobility & Immigration

  • Designs the technology architecture supporting Global Mobility delivery

  • Designs the mechanics for reporting Mobility-related metrics to company leadership

Roadmap/Planning/Projects

  • Responsible for leading strategic planning, influencing & driving prioritization of initiatives with executive stakeholders

  • Responsible for developing and communicating a roadmap of projects and initiatives in support of stakeholder priorities to all levels of the organization

  • Initiating and leading key projects for the continuous improvement of the Global Mobility & Immigration function

Stakeholder Management

  • Responsible for providing objective and comprehensive input to senior leadership and executive decision makers

  • Solicits stakeholder input to define comprehensive improvement plans that are consistent and drive standardization across regions

  • Influences and collaborates with multiple stakeholders of multiple functions to ensure effective change management for initiatives

  • Creates and drives broad stakeholder communications and reporting with respect to Global Mobility & Immigration

Consulting

  • Consultant level for Global Mobility, provides expertise and guidance to Company leadership across multiple functional areas.

Governance

  • Escalation-point for related Global Mobility & Immigration Audit inquiries, both external and internal.

  • Authorising Officer for UK Immigration and sign off representative for SAO sign off for expatriate related matters.

  • Cost management and controls for PO’s on behalf of all business units within the Group requiring Global Mobility & immigration services.

Executive management

Team Leadership

  • Provides leadership and direction to ensure the teams' growth and continued development.

  • Provides informal leadership, guidance & direction to business groups & other groups within HR for global HR programs

Resource Management

  • Reviews and approves the budget and acts as the point of escalation for the teams for resolving general resource/budgetary issues

  • Accountable for resource planning (people, finances etc.) across the teams

Qualifications

  • You have 10+ years of global mobility and immigration experience

  • You have 5+ years of global mobility and immigration leadership experience in a multinational public company, during a period of rapid expansion

  • You have a Bachelor's degree; GMS or CRP certifications are helpful to have in this role

  • You have expertise in the intricacies of global mobility and immigration, including tax, legal, compensation, visa, and work permit implications

  • You have an ability to operate and influence in a matrixed environment

  • You have experience frequently flexing from complex strategy to the lowest level of detail

  • You have experience designing efficient and qualitative operating models  

  • You have direct experience of vendor selection and management

  • You have direct experience managing people and teams

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $135K - $185K per year with 30% bonus target.
