Equinix is driving a major commercial transformation to enable 3x growth by 2027. As part of this, we’re redefining how deals are structured, priced, and executed through a standardized, globally aligned model.

We are seeking a Director, Deal Strategy & Enablement- APAC to lead the regional center of excellence responsible for accelerating deal execution across the Opportunity-to-Cash lifecycle. This is a transformational leadership role focused on building scalable systems, enabling Sales, and improving deal velocity across diverse APAC market with a proactive, data-driven, and enablement-led approach.

Key Responsibilities

Function Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead the APAC Deal Strategy & Enablement team (~8 members across regional markets and Bid Management), transitioning from Commercial Solutions to a standardized, scalable operating model.

  • Localize and execute the global Commercial Transformation strategy across APAC, ensuring alignment while adapting for regional market complexity.

  • Establish and operationalize the Deal Manager career framework, including role clarity, development pathways, and performance metrics.

  • Build strong internal brand recognition as a trusted partner to Sales and GTM teams across APAC.

Deal Orchestration & Cycle Acceleration

  • Own end-to-end deal velocity across APAC from qualified opportunity to booking.

  • Drive complex and strategic deals through the approval process with pre-built scenarios, structured deal strategies, and clear recommendations.

  • Partner with regional Sales leaders to streamline decision-making and reduce approval friction.

  • Establish and run regional operating cadences with Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.

Deal Governance

  • Own execution of the global deal governance framework within APAC, ensuring consistency, compliance, and transparency across markets.

  • Monitor regional deal patterns and provide insights to inform policy and governance evolution.

  • Ensure all approval decisions are documented and aligned with global standards.

Productized Enablement

  • Drive adoption of standardized deal tools across APAC, including commercial summary One-Pager, capacity prioritization frameworks, pricing approvals and templates

  • Partner with global teams to evolve tools (e.g., CAPI) and ensure effective regional rollout and adoption.

  • Enable shift toward self-serve, Salesforce-enabled workflows vs. manual approvals.

Pricing Insights & Regional Input

  • Contribute insights into regional and global pricing strategy and Pricing Committee discussions.

  • Analyze regional win/loss deals, pricing behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform pricing decisions and discount frameworks.

  • Act as a regional SME on deal economics and commercial structuring.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Operate as a key partner to APAC Sales leadership, Regional President, Finance, Legal, and GTM Operations.

  • Represent APAC in global forums, ensuring regional needs are reflected in transformation decisions.

  • Influence without authority, driving alignment across diverse stakeholders and markets.

Required Competencies

  • Transformational leadership: Proven experience leading teams through operating model change

  • System builder mindset: Designs scalable frameworks, not just supports deals

  • Executive influence: Strong track record partnering with senior stakeholders across functions

  • Commercial & pricing expertise: Deep understanding of deal economics and complex deal structuring

  • Data & analytics fluency: Ability to translate insights into action

  • Coaching & team development: Experience reskilling and evolving teams

  • Salesforce/CPQ knowledge: Strong understanding of deal workflows and systems

  • Bias for action: Proactive, solution-oriented, and outcome-driven

Qualifications

Required

  • 12+ years in deal desk, commercial operations, pricing, or revenue operations

  • 5+ years leading regional or multi-market teams through transformation

  • Experience with deal governance, pricing frameworks, or deal scoring models

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Legal)

  • Strong Salesforce/CPQ expertise

Preferred

  • Experience in APAC markets with complex, multi-country dynamics

  • Background in data center, cloud, telecom, or capital-intensive industries

  • Experience with deal scoring frameworks or pricing strategy design
