Job Summary: As a Digital Account Executive, you will play a key role in helping cloud-native SaaS companies, startups, and fast-growing Enterprise “lines of business” adopt our platform value. While currently focused on Equinix Metal, this role has the opportunity to impact digital-native selling across Equinix’s entire digital services portfolio: Equinix Fabric, Network Edge, Equinix Connect, Metro Connect, and Precision Time.
Growth is key to all aspects of this role. As we like to say about our digital accounts: if they’re not growing, they’re churning! To unlock this growth you’ll need to partner with a variety of internal and customer stakeholders to:
Remove barriers to adoption ...by working with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Technical Account Managers, and expanding your own technical and business knowledge.
Provide appropriate resources...by sharing product functionality and explaining how to succeed with tooling and partner technologies.
Leverage data...by understanding account trends, buying and product adoption signals, and external enrichment sources.
Fill digital services gaps...by interfacing with established ecosystem partners in key functional areas e.g. Kubernetes, Storage, Databases, HCI.
Raise awareness internally and externally...by engaging peers across Equinix in practitioner culture and use cases.…by activating smart outreach campaigns in partnership with marketing and opportunity development colleagues.
This an entrepreneurial role that requires strategic, analytical, interpersonal, and sales skills; a deep understanding and interest in the cloud infrastructure ecosystem; experience working with technical buyers and the products they use; a commitment to building authentic and long-lasting relationships with champions; a business development sensibility; and a desire to engage across all mediums from code to video and the written word. Most importantly, you’ll want to grow our business impact through the cultivation of a consistent and high-performing book of business.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to switch gears quickly while maintaining focus on stated goals. You should apply to this role if you are:
A customer obsessed, platform and software-minded sales superstar with experience at AWS, Azure, GCP or similar.
A hardware nerd (gaming counts!) with a competitive streak.

Comfortable and excited by carrying a quota.
A minimum 1+ years of experience building, using, or selling Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
Experience with common sales tools: Salesforce, Outreach, Clearbit, etc.
