Job Summary:
The Digital Workplace Experience team is looking for a dynamic and hands on engineer who would be responsible for enabling a productive & secure colleague computing experience by helping research, evaluate, deploy, and adopt new hardware, device management tools that help our global colleagues work seamlessly together in this new, rapidly evolving hybrid workplace.
The ideal candidate is a device enthusiast who finds fun in researching and deploying the latest and greatest devices and gadgets, setting up home labs, testing out virtual desktop and application technologies and wants to drive Equinix’s device strategy for its 13,000+ global colleagues. Has proven success at supporting PoCs, projects, enterprise deployments, vendors, and partners that drive for results that lead to real business value. Someone that is passionate about a groundbreaking technology platform and improve colleague computing experience.

Create and maintain a future proof device strategy that delivers the best device and virtual access technologies for our multiple global workplace identities
Fully automate the device, software, and virtual desktop onboarding and offboarding experience for windows, Mac and VDI platforms
Responsibilities
Researching, designing, and enabling a world class device experience for our global colleagues.
Develop and continue to evolve the global device strategy and roadmap to deliver the most up to date technology to ensure a seamless colleague experience.
Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to integrate technology, operations and solution requirements into solution strategies.
Hardware and Software evaluation and listing requirements, specifications and define test conditions.
Identify issues and risks associated with work while being able to analyze and report test activities and results
Build a user centric experience based on hardware and COTS software.
Create project deliverable documentation, including design, build and operations guides
Enhance and grow the global device catalogue by partnering with global device industry leaders
Build a fully automated, self-service global software catalogue
Partner with enterprise virtual workspace companies to provide seamless virtual desktop or application experience globally
Completely automation of the device, software, and virtual desktop lifecycle
Determine the appropriate technical path forward for platform adoption. Stay abreast of product upgrades, releases, and overall industry trends.
Qualifications
7+ years’ experience in system engineering/administration of Device Management, Saas, DaaS platforms (Windows, MacOS, MDM) in a Microsoft ecosystem for a globally diverse medium to large scale enterprise
Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent experience
Recent experience with supporting and managing an enterprise scale VDI, MDM , Device management solution. (Microsoft Intune, Citrix VDI, JAMF is a plus)
Proven success in leading diverse project teams and partners providing real world solutions to business problems that achieve high adoption and colleague satisfaction scores
Ability to create, foster and grow productivity and collaboration vendor partnerships
