Job Summary

Responsible for the prioritization, fulfillment, and quality assurance of time-bound ticket-driven requests within the Data Center to include: Expedite/Negotiate, Trouble, Smart-hands, Installation/De-installation of Cages/Cabinets/Cross-connects, Power, Cable Containment, Custom Orders and/or Network Support (in some cases).

Responsibilities

  • Racks and stacks customer equipment 

  • Reads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordingly 

  • Installs circuits requiring sophisticated fiber terminations 

  • Resolves work priorities from a ticketing queue and ensures adherence to all contributing times 

  • Troubleshoots switched/multiplexed / media converted circuits; escalates to, and works with a networking group, as needed

  • Works with customers to troubleshoot issues 

  • Installs/tests/modifies cross-connects per SOPs and ensures accurate cable management of coax, fiber, twisted-pair copper, and intra-building cross-connects 

  • Installs and tests sophisticated cross-connect circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.) 

  • Maintains detailed written records of all work activity 

  • Designs and leads cage/infrastructure modification projects 

  • Completes all assigned training in a timely manner 

  • Supports customer happiness through timely and detailed order execution 

Qualifications  

  • High School Diploma with 1-2 years of experience

  • A natural curiosity and strong troubleshooting skills 

  • Experience working in a critical facility where failure is not an option

  • Strong system level mechanical or electrical proficiency 

  • You are capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and are agile in manual dexterity (climb, stoop, et.) with or without accommodation. 

  • 24/7 Operation - Your flexibility to work any assigned shift, off-schedule, fill in for workmates and respond to emergencies, etc.

  • Travailler avec les clients pour résoudre les problèmes
  • Installe/teste/modifie les interconnexions conformément aux SOP et assure une gestion précise des câbles coaxiaux, fibre, cuivre en paire torsadée et des interconnexions intra-bâtiment.
  • Installe et teste des circuits d'interconnexion sophistiqués (commutés, multiplexés, etc.).
  • Tient des registres écrits détaillés de toutes les activités de travail.
  • Conçoit et dirige des projets de modification des cages/infrastructures.
  • Termine toutes les formations assignées en temps voulu.
  • Soutient la satisfaction des clients grâce à une exécution des commandes précise et rapide.


Qualifications :

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires avec 1 à 2 ans d'expérience.
  • Curiosité naturelle et solides compétences en dépannage.
  • Expérience dans un établissement critique où la panne n'est pas une option. Solide compétence mécanique ou électrique au niveau du système.
  • Capacité à soulever jusqu'à 50 lb et à faire preuve d'agilité manuelle (grimpe, se penche, etc.) avec ou sans assistance.
  • Opération 24/7 - Flexibilité pour travailler à tout poste assigné, hors horaire, remplacer des collègues et répondre aux urgences, etc.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - MT1 Montreal : 46,600 - 69,800 CAD / Annual

Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
