Job Summary
This role is ideal for Electricians or Electrical Engineers who want to move into a stable, well‑run technical environment where systems are maintained properly, safety matters, and work is structured and planned.
You’ll carry out routine and semi‑routine electrical and building services maintenance, working to clear procedures and supporting more experienced engineers with complex tasks. The role is hands‑on but controlled — not constant emergencies or guesswork.
Responsibilities
Electrical & Building Systems Maintenance
Carry out routine and semi‑routine maintenance checks on electrical and building systems
Complete basic repairs, servicing, and minor installations following written procedures
Monitor building and plant systems via control panels and screens, responding to standard alerts
Support senior engineers during larger repairs or fault‑finding activities
Operate plumbing, fire safety, and life‑safety systems under guidance
Follow set procedures for day‑to‑day work, with support provided for new tasks
Contractor & Site Support
Work alongside specialist contractors during routine maintenance tasks

Help coordinate work on site, including:
Start‑of‑job briefings
Monitoring work during the shift
Closing out jobs and checks once work is completed
Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with site standards
Permits, Logs & Incident Support
Complete basic permits, logs, and work records using templates and instructions
Follow operating procedures to support site administration and safe working
Assist senior engineers during incidents or technical issues when required
Work Orders & Local Projects
Complete routine work requests and basic electrical tasks (e.g. circuit work, equipment installs)
Support general site and office equipment maintenance where needed
Assist senior staff on larger improvement or upgrade projects
Teamworking
Work as part of a site‑based engineering team
Support colleagues during maintenance and fault response
Flag parts and materials needed to keep stock levels healthy
Qualifications
Background as an Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or Facilities Engineer
Experience working in electrical maintenance, building services, facilities, or industrial settings

Comfortable following procedures and working in a controlled, safety‑focused environment
Willingness to learn and develop broader building systems knowledge
Experience
Electrical qualification or equivalent practical experience
Typically 1–2 years’ experience in a technical or maintenance role
Experience working on live systems and following safety rules is an advantage
