Job Summary: Looking for a chance to test your skills and gain real-world experience with a team of bold and forward-thinking colleagues? As our customer education design intern, you’ll join our team of creative problem solvers and work closely with the team to create new and innovative ways to welcome our customers to the magic of Equinix.  In this role, you’ll use your design chops to create design and content solutions from ideation through execution based on strategic and creative input.  To be successful, you’ll need a fundamental understanding of customer first thinking, creative design techniques and creative problem solving. This is a real-work internship, and your ideas and outcomes will have the opportunity to impact the way we welcome customers.  If this sounds like you, then send us your resume and work and let’s get the conversation started. Responsibilities

  • Strategize customer onboarding concepts by studying materials, brainstorming with team members, and interacting with customers

  • Illustrate concepts by designing layout of art and copy while considering arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic characteristics

  • Be a self-starter ready to roll up your sleeves and get going

  • Pitch design and artwork ideas for a variety of customer interaction activities

  • Create designs of requested materials and obtain approval from team members

  • Create final layouts and prepare items for web posting

  • Work within a team, interacting with different stakeholders and business units

  • Balance multiple projects at once

  • Adhere timelines and deadlines for content creation

Qualifications

  • Experience and interest in marketing, communications, or design field

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a diverse global remote office setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Skills in speaking and writing concisely and logically

  • Previous experience with graphic design work

  • Proficiency in creative tools such as Adobe Suite

  • Ability to travel internationally if required

  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required
