Job Summary

Performs routine tests that support deployment readiness decision.

Responsibilities

• Review technical engineering document received from the technical partner for project deployment

• Review and analyst software release impact on the network before implementation

• Work with equipment vendor to close all network venerability escalated by the security team within the given time frame

• Manage the RMA process for defective equipment during deployment, ensuring end‑to‑end tracking returned items.

• Manage transmission planning equipment inventory.

• Validate equipment received by the procurement team against the PO and parking list.

• Handle transmission equipment procurement process and track equipment delivery.

• Overall project planning, delivery, and update of the milestone project plan.

• Support the team in planning, dimensioning, and deployment of optical transport equipment 

• Coordinate and manage equipment deployment. 

• Provide weekly reports on capacity, inventory, and utilization of applicable transmission and carrier equipment configurations. 

• Provide detailed engineering documentation to support and ensure the success of required projects. This will involve site surveys, gather field data, and generate reports on the current capacity and database.

• Supporting effective management and documentation/ assignment of infrastructures /Facility space, Racks, and ports in POPs.

• Provide the required technical support for repeated operational issues. 

• Handle and track the RMA process for defective equipment

• You will be required to work closely with the Technical Sales team and Network Planning, Implementation and Operations team

Competencies Required:

• Basic understanding of SDH, Carrier Ethernet Technology, quality of service and network management concepts is necessary

• SDH, OTN knowledge and/or experience working in a telecommunications environment

• Ability to interpret topography, network design maps and CAD Designs

• Knowledge of a vendor network management system

• Project management skills

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' related experience

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field preferred

• CCNA certification would be an added advantage
