Job Summary
We are seeking a senior leader to drive the Commissioning strategy across large-scale, mission-critical data center construction programs. This role is accountable for delivering consistent, high-quality commissioning outcomes that enable operational readiness and achievement of Ready for Service (RFS) milestones across both greenfield and retrofit projects. You will partner closely with Construction, Operations, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution, while driving standardization, performance, and continuous improvement across the commissioning lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership
Lead commissioning delivery across multiple concurrent data center construction projects
Develop and implement standardized commissioning strategies, frameworks, and schedules across the portfolio
Own pipeline planning to optimize resource allocation and execution strategy
Partner cross-functionally with Construction, Design, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
Provide input into project budgets, commissioning strategies, and testing protocols, including FAT, FPT, and IST
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Serve as the senior point of contact for customers during commissioning phases.
ommunicate progress against key milestones, including RFS readiness
Lead resolution of complex issues and escalations, ensuring delivery confidence and customer satisfaction
Operational Excellence
Drive adoption of commissioning standards, governance, and best practices across all projects
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commissioning processes, tools, and delivery models
Standardize commissioning scopes, methodologies, and schedules aligned to customer and contract requirements
Reporting & Performance Insights
Own commissioning reporting across the portfolio, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency
Oversee development of commissioning documentation, including test procedures, reports, and readiness assessments
Leverage data and performance insights to identify trends, mitigate risks, and improve future program delivery
Vendor & Partner Management
Lead commissioning vendor strategy, including RFP development, selection, and performance management
Define and track vendor KPIs and drive accountability through regular business reviews
Manage external commissioning partners and governance forums to ensure alignment and delivery excellence
Qualifications
Extensive experience in data center commissioning within mission-critical environments
Proven leadership experience managing complex, multi-site construction programs
Strong technical expertise in electrical and/or mechanical systems, including MEP systems
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence senior stakeholders
Experience managing external vendors and large-scale service delivery contracts
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience, preferred
Nice to Have
Experience with hyperscale or cloud data center environments
Familiarity with integrated systems testing (IST) and advanced commissioning methodologies
Experience working in a global or multi-region delivery model

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Other posted locations not specifically listed : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
