Job Summary: Partners with relevant functional teams to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as the support of those applications. Works with relevant business groups to define their global IT requirements and to analyze appropriate solutions. Manages projects from inception to completion for the mission-critical Global IBX Operations Service Management Portfolio.


Responsibilities

Business Requirements Analysis

  • Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements for defined-scope enhancements, typically pertaining to Global IBX Operations Service Management portfolio

  • Knowledge and understanding of industry tools and techniques to elicit, prioritize, organize, document, model, and analyze requirements

Process Modeling and Design

  • Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business process models for defined-scope enhancements, typically pertaining to a specific functional areas, using industry standard modeling techniques

  • Build low fidelity grayscale wireframes for the Team to visualize and experiment on a hypothesis


Stakeholder Management

  • Manages stakeholder expectations, inputs and communications directly or via project manager, depending on project scope

  • Guides business and project delivery stakeholders through IT process and obtains relevant participation

  • Conduct requirements workshops with Global Data Center IBX Operations Service Management Platform stakeholders to identify and model business processes and translate them into application requirements that are actionable for developers

  • Participate in all SCRUM Events and contribute as an essential SCRUM Team Developer towards an Increment

  • Use ServiceNow to manage stakeholder demands & priorities for Production Release


Solution Design

  • Responsible for designing and documenting solutions within own track

  • Interacts with other track BSAs

  • Interact with Developers (onshore and offshore) for an Increment delivery.

  • Is an expert in the supported functional track

  • Is able to vet data models, technical designs and drive best practices

  • Work with UX designers, Business stakeholders and Engineering teams to review wireframes, prototypes to ensure UX Designs meet requirements

Documentation

  • Follows guidelines and templates relevant to a particular technology stack to produce the necessary project artifacts


Functional Design

  • Translate Business Requirements into clear User-stories for Development Team to consume

  • Develops functional designs for specific functional areas for major enhancements or projects

  • Owns and evangelizes functional designs across cross functional groups

  • Ensures that functional designs meet business needs and are in line with the solution design

  • Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs

Testing & Test Design

  • Owns specific modules in the application and develops test cases based on requirements and technical desig.

  • Defines test strategy (including automation) and execution approach to test specific module of an application

  • Perform walkthrough with the Business on test-cases and educate them on performing UAT

  • Perform knowledge transfer (KT sessions) with Production Support team to help them understand the new system changes

  • Perform black-box, white-box & A/B testing as necessary

  • Coordinates with stakeholders on UAT and obtains relevant signoffs for Production Release

  • Clarifies defects, triage and coordinate resolution with engineering teams

  • Use HP-ALM/JIRA to manage test cases, test results, and defects

Release Management

  • Manages enhancement and project releases for specific modules

  • Ensures delivery meets release goals

  • Use ServiceNow to manage Change Requests for stakeholder approvals for Production Release


System Configurations

  • Develops mastery in configurations of specific module/modules of an application

  • Brings in best practices by keeping up-to-date with the technology and vendor products

  • Documents configurations for future use and training


Day to Day Support (Production Support)

  • Interact with & supports First Level Support resources on business side

  • Triages and troubleshoots & validates issues prior to hand-off to Production Support team

  • Works with various functions within GTS to ensure RCA is complete and SLAs are met

  • Monitor support tickets queue and provide L1, L2, L3 support and troubleshoot complex issues during US Timezone

Training and Change Management

  • Works directly with functional SMEs and management team to coordinate SME training requirements and execution

  • Communicates status against key support issues


Vendor Management

  • Ensures vendor resources have appropriate workspace, system access, and tools

  • Manages / leads individual consulting resources as assigned

  • Understands vendor roadmaps

  • Manages feedback and escalations, negotiation, contract renewals

  • Conducts limited-scope vendor negotiations

  • Provides status against plans and escalates issues


Vendor & Application Technology Evaluation

  • Supports creation of vendor and application technology evaluation plans and presentations

  • May conduct research, pilot features and document and prepare recommendations for review

  • Conducts limited-scope vendor negotiations


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field required

  • 5+ years experience in Business Analysis/Product Development area

  • 5+ years of experience working in Agile environment (SCRUM preferred). At least one certification from scrum.org is required. (PSM-1/PSPO-1)

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience performing requirements elicitation, writing functional specifications/user stories, converting business ideas into application requirements, performing testing and collaborating with the business end-users on enhancements roadmap, UAT testing etc.

  • 5+ years of Technical aptitude and proficiency in productivity software, as well as visual information management tools - MS Office, Visio, MIRO, Mural, JIRA, Balsamiq, Invision etc.

  • 2+ years of experience working with BMC Software applications or any other Rapid Application Development Platform(ServiceNow, Salesforce, Mendix etc.) either custom or out-of-the-box is preferred

  • 2+ years of QA experience in writing test-cases, test-plans, build defect reports, and perform white-box, black-box & A/B testing. Experience working with HP-ALM or similar defect tracking tool

  • Technical aptitude and proficiency in productivity software, as well as visual information management tools (MS Office, Visio etc.)

  • Must have experience in leading E2E delivery of Product

  • 1+ years of Project Management experience managing milestones, tasks, risks for small to mid-sized projects

  • Knowledge and understanding of industry tools and techniques to elicit, prioritize, organize, document, model, and analyze requirements

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall etc.) and compliance/regulatory standards

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to investigate, assess, and recommend solutions to moderately complex situations

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with and influence others.

  • Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present information to a variety of audiences

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $80,000 - $108,000 per year with 15% bonus target.
