We are seeking a natural leader to take our relationships with digital leaders, software companies and technology partners to the next level. You will focus on a set of named Equinix customers in four areas: large cloud native SaaS, Enterprise digital leaders, strategic technology providers and leading communications companies. Your primary objective will be to drive long-term growth in existing and new markets by defining, driving and building new business models. You will be responsible for helping to set and communicate Equinix’s global vision and strategy while defining execution plans with our clients. You should have a proven record of developing, negotiating, and signing large long-term partnership deals leading to mutually beneficial outcomes.

Success depends on your ability to blend high level strategy & Equinix’s vision with product knowledge, industry expertise, and pragmatic considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with key business or software developer leadership in targeted accounts.

  • Present bare metal and the broader Equinix digital services as a critical element of a multi-hybrid-cloud strategy.

  • Qualify OUT of customer who CANNOT/WILL NOT dedicate adequate resources to us during this key stage of our development.

  • Build strategic relationships within customers at all levels from C suite to developer.

  • Build test/validation programs where necessary.

  • Meet or exceed overall business development bookings and revenue goals.

  • Strong internal communication of customer strategy bridging engineering, product management and commercial teams.

  • Be accountable for resolving partnering issues and escalations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience with the majority of that in enterprise software, cloud computing and data center roles

  • Business Development experience, including leading alliance programs

  • Validated credibility, confidence, and composure with customer executives

  • High business acumen – Sales DNA and understanding of customer business models

  • Knowledge of technology trends in digital transformation and cloud computing

  • A confirmed ability to build the link between technology and business impact, with strong understanding of business processes and operations

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $111K- $153K per year.
