Job Summary: As Senior Manager of Partner Activation, you’ll focus on designing joint solutions with key partners and activating them with our most strategic customers. As such, we are looking for a customer and growth focused individual who can bring both business and technical sophistication to the table. This role reports to the Head of Equinix Metal Alliances.

Alliances at Equinix Metal
As Senior Manager of Partner Activation, you will work directly with technology partners in the OEM, Silicon and Hyperconverged Infrastructure spaces to bring new models and solutions to market. While this isn’t a quota based position, building out the GTM and strategic sales engagements that land initial lighthouse customers for joint products is a critical component of activating the full potential of our strategic alliance partners.

Growth and an entrepreneurial spirit is key to this role. As a business-minded leader, you’ll be at the center of building solutions that drive disruptive growth for Equinix and Equinix Metal. On a daily basis you’ll be expected to:
 

  • Remove barriers across alliances...by working with Engineering and Product to identify the partners and partner technologies that allow us to expand our potential.

  • Understand and guide our business... by continuously seeking knowledge across the customer lifecycle and the dynamic market landscape in which we operate. You'll use that knowledge to identify critical business, process, operational, and strategic opportunities.

  • Drive initial market success… by engaging with Equinix and partner sales teams to communicate the value proposition of the partnership and work hand in hand to activate lighthouse customers.

  • Manage and build relationships...by being a trusted and focused advocate to our alliances, including especially with executive alignment.

  • Fill gaps where needed...as a senior leader on a small and agile team, you will draw upon your diverse experience to step up and help unlock our potential with product management, partner marketing, financial analysis, sales and sales engineering.

  • Raise awareness internally...by educating and enabling all of Equinix on the importance and growth potential of our partnerships.

Qualifications


This is an entrepreneurial role that requires strategic, analytical, and creative skills; a deep understanding of the industry; experience leading engineering, sales and product teams; a business development sensibility; and a desire to engage with stakeholders across all mediums from code to video and the written word.  Most importantly, you’ll want to play a key role in the future of digital infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate at all levels, and switch gears quickly - helping to create strategic initiatives with stakeholders from throughout the business and then shift into execution mode when opportunities are identified.  You should apply to this role if you are:

  • Driven, with a strong sense of ownership and an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • A natural public speaker and relationship builder.

  • Sales experience but with a track record of developing strategic, long term relationships.

  • An attentive listener that can identify opportunities, and lead teams towards aligned action.

  • An experienced product manager, able to engage with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, business challenges, and triggers to effectively derisk the investments the company chooses to make

  • A passionate technologist looking  to make a positive impact on a large enterprise.

  • A capable negotiator who works well with legal to capture business needs.

  • A  proactive communicator across various mediums.

For NYC residents: In accordance with NYC Pay Transparency Law (https://legistar.council.nyc.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3713951&GUID=E7B03ABA-8F42-4341-A0D2-50E2F95320CD&Options=Advanced&Search= ) the salary range for this role is $181K – $326K per year.

 

For CO residents: In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for this role is $164K – $230K per year.
