Job Summary
Responsible for: network design and planning, capacity management, vendor evaluation, activation and deactivation of customer services, troubleshooting and fault resolution of reported and detected faults, performing effective maintenance to the equipment to prevent faults from occurring, procurement and installation of equipment for expansion and new services.
Responsibilities
Deployment
Deploys new hardware (single-vendor) per the documented guidelines
Engages with GNA in validation of new hardware
Conducts NOC training and performs RMA actions
Engages in port and device and customer migrations
Performs network tools and new features deployments
Responsible for new feature enablement
Product Development Lifecycle Engagements
Requirement Phase: Provides feedback as the voice of the customer to the product and development communities, based on customer queries and trouble-tickets
Test Phase: Participates in SIT and UAT new feature testing, as well as network device testing
Performs comprehensive testing and identifies key customer issues
Sustaining Phase: Trains and transitions from deployment teams during deployment activities
Manages and sustains the deployments with a goal to deliver to the highest levels of customer satisfaction on Equinix products
Service Delivery
Performs network service fulfillment for quote to cash transactional tickets for all network and datacenter products (Interconnections, DCIM etc.)
Ensures successful fulfillment of the Software triggered provisioning (e.g. VC's and RI's)
Reviews the metrics and identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency of the fulfillment (per customer and per transaction)
Innovations
Participates in events like Sparkathon to trigger innovation in process and products
Uses the shared lab setups to practice the exercises published by the NetOps Technical Leadership team
Participates in Simian Army based Tech drills focused on driving service excellence targeting a (break, learn, fix, resume) exercises on lab setups
Engages in creating automations to perform these drills (Chaos monkey equivalent)
Qualifications
5+ years experience
Bachelor's Degree

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Canada - TR7 Toronto : 88,000 - 132,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
