Equinix Metal, a leading bare metal cloud provider, is looking for an Engineering Manager for the Billing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the engineering and operation of our billing/front-office systems and 3rd party integrations. This role can be remote or based in one of our office locations.
Leading a team of engineers that own, operate and develop our UI portal. Growth and hiring will be a requisite part of this work along with mentoring, coaching and retaining top talent.
Help drive design and improve our system architecture with focus on data consistency, scaling and providing a clear and accurate monthly billing statement to Equinix Metal customers.
Maintain a strong development culture focused on data-driven and value delivery and managing Equinix Metal's billing development process, including documentation, JIRA workflow, sprint and roadmap planning
Cultivate a collaborative culture with other partners across the larger Engineering organization, Finance and other departments to ensure all revenue systems and reporting are compliant with applicable rules and regulations and flexible enough to evolve with the business
A good concept of scale and a desire to help create and run highly reliable and performant distributed services
A demonstrated track record for building and leading distributed software development teams of 4-8+ people preferably in billing technologies.
A background of working for a SaaS or cloud-based companies focused on agile/lean/continuous development and delivery.
Hands-on development and architecture experience (within the last 2 years preferred)
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and executing with a sense of urgency, delivering services to meet customer demands on a timely basis
Ability to recruit for top technical talent for the team
Excellent communication skills internally and externally
