Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manager to assist with REIT compliance activities and Corporate Finance projects. Candidate will work with global cross-functional teams to perform REIT compliance activities, update REIT policies and REIT intranet page, as necessary, work to develop and maintain REIT training in our Learning Management System (“LMS”) and assist in other projects as necessary. We are seeking a candidate who is an organized, independent thinker, possesses analytical and collaborative skills, can delegate tasks as necessary, actively follows-up on requests and seeks challenges. Candidate will report to the Director, Corporate Finance & REIT.
Assist REIT Compliance Director with compliance tasks and projects
Perform REIT compliance analysis across numerous corporate functions, summarize and report results
Assist in the development and maintenance of REIT web-based training in multiple languages across numerous corporate functions
Assist in the development and delivery of in-person REIT training across numerous corporate functions
Review, analyze and report REIT Training completion status for LMS courses
Maintain and update REIT intranet page, as necessary
Act as champion for REIT compliance coordinating with other departments to resolve issues and maintain timely compliance
Assist with projects for Director and be able to manage sensitive information discretely and identify/on-board key contributors to help with the project
Develop presentations independently for presentation to senior management
Report compliance status and issues to Director, REIT and include resolution options
REIT experience is not mandatory but is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
7+ years experience preferred
Have excellent analytical skills: be able to take complex information and distill into concepts that can be understood by employees at all levels across all regions
Have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and set expectations with peers
Be self-motivated, driven and comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment
Collaborative, flexible, open working style and an ability to establish trust and credibility quickly
Strong power point skills with creative mindset
Interest in broadening knowledge of Real Estate Investment Trusts (“REIT’s”) and inter-relationships between REIT and other corporate functions
Quick learner and ability to engage teams as this role requires interaction with tax, legal, finance, IT, HR, and in-country teams
Knowledge or familiarity with Articulate SumTotal is a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge or familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus but not mandatory
