Job Summary: Global Operations Enablement function is recruiting for a Junior Product Owner, a critical position, responsible for driving technology capabilities to enable Customer Technicians and Critical Engineers optimally and at scale.

Identifying areas of opportunity, resolving, and driving a product solution through direct engagement with end-users, designers, and developers to ensure product-market fit and delivery of quality products within budget.

Responsibilities

Problem Solving/Assessment

  • Applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of sophisticated (high level of ambiguity), functional, and/or cross-functional problems with business implications

  • Recommend areas of improvement based on functional or multi-functional teams' needs by identifying process gaps as well as facilitating discussions that drive resolution and advancing where vital

Product Management

  • Partners with other product owners and stakeholders as part of the Agile team to define the scope of the product and vision

  • Interview and collaborate with users to author user stories, sketch wireframes/mockups and partner with UX/UI design team to turn them into high fidelity mock-ups

  • Lead workshops to identify and define use cases with the collaborators and the users

  • Partner with technology teams to define and refine product backlog continuously

  • Participate in project-related activities, including product training, documentation, and support

  • Run demos of the completed product feature/function

  • Supervise key performance metrics and suggest changes to improve their performance, assessing priority based on fit to agreed organizational criteria

Stakeholder Management

  • Responsible for providing comprehensive input to partners to support decision making and leading expectation

  • May work with governance boards or steering committees

  • Identifies and proactively includes accurate collaborators, communicates optimally, raises opportunities for improvement, handling expectations within and/or across functions.

  • Understands and drives alignment with partners and collaborators from problem identification through implementation and into post-implementation monitoring

  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional discussions to drive issues, challenges and prioritize efforts as well as recommends alternative solutions, advancing where disagreements persist

Management

  • Leads scrum team alignment, ensuring priorities are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as encouraged while providing vital feedback, mentorship, and/or advice to junior team members and internal staff

Resource and Budget Management

  • Works closely with the team, ensuring accurate resource allocation and utilization for assigned projects

  • Communicates budget estimates, and ensures team carries out assigned projects within approved budgets. Responsible for requesting approvals for any additional expense outside of the budget

Project Management

  • Creates, handles, and leads larger project plans and resources, with appropriate tools and techniques using a management dashboard views of project status and achievements

  • Applies appropriate project leadership skills and standard methodologies including Lean Six Sigma

  • Identifies and leads risks and issues

Cost/Benefit Analysis and Monitoring

  • Analyzes pre and post-implementation results and proposes recommendations for improvement while assessing encouraged benefits and actual results

Testing

  • May lead user acceptance testing and ensure it is fully planned and carried out

  • Develops and assigns test cases, identifies testing resources, and assesses testing progress

Qualifications

  • 0 to 3 years experience preferred

  • Associate degree preferred

  • Yellow belt preferred

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $59K - $82K per year with 15% bonus target.
