Key Skills & Experience:  

• Strong experience in people management with minimum 3 years’ experience, preferable within Data Center area but not mandatory 

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage escalations and lead a team during turbulent situations  

• Knowledge of connectivity technologies, especially fiber optics, structured cabling, and cross-connects is a plus but not mandatory 

• Familiarity with Change, Incident, and Escalation Management processes  

• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills  

• Knowledge of critical infrastructure (power and cooling systems) is a plus, but not mandatory  

 

 

What We're Looking For: 

 We’re seeking a Senior Data Center Supervisor who will manage 15-20 technicians, can lead by example, mentor and inspire team members, build a high performing team and set a high standard in operational excellence.  

 

  • Lead a team of data centre technicians in daily operations, including equipment installation, ticket resolution and troubleshooting as well as supporting during incidents 

  • Develop and implement best practices for data centre operations to ensure maximum efficiency, site quality and uptime 

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support customer projects and ensure seamless service delivery 

  • Perform regular inspections and audits of data centre equipment to maintain optimal performance, site quality and reliability 

  • Respond promptly and resolve technical issues and incidents, ensuring minimal customer downtime and disruption 

  • Liaise closely with the IBX-Manager and keep informed of all vital operational activities, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise 

  • Provide the IBX-Manager with a weekly synopsis covering successes, issues, and improvement suggestions 

  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve data centre performance and scalability 

  • Manage the Data Centre Technician shift rota and on-call pattern 

  • Hold monthly one-on-feedback sessions with each Data Centre Technician 

  • Ensure the Data Centre Technician's Tools and Equipment (including PPE) are in good working order and safety procedures are followed 

  • Review both installation and removal of equipment from the data centre to ensure that standards are upheld and maintained 

  • Build an “onboarding factory” to train and mentor new-hired technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge of data centre operations
