Manager, Digital Productivity & Collaboration

The Digital Workplace Experience team is looking for a dynamic and hands on leader to manage a team of highly motivated engineers and futurists that will establish and evolve a framework for how we choose, implement, adopt, and scale our productivity and collaboration tools and platforms that help our colleagues from around the world seamlessly work together. 

 

The ideal candidate has solid experience in designing, deploying, and adopting global productivity and collaboration tools and platforms, such as Zoom, Teams, Slack, etc.  Someone who thrives at leading and growing engineers and project teams to successfully deliver global solutions that drive a more seamless and frictionless colleague experience. 

 

Key focus areas 

  • Designing and enabling a low friction, seamless collaboration, and communication experience for our global colleagues 

  • Research, design, and deploy the next gen collaboration and communication platforms 

  • Establishing a robust enterprise content management process and managing the portfolio and lifecycle of current communication and collaboration tools 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Building and evolving an intuitive and frictionless colleague experience when collaborating and communicating 

  • Ownership of the global productivity and collaboration vision, strategy, and roadmap 

  • Productivity and collaboration subject matter expert and interacts with customers, senior management, and vendor partners 

  • Oversees governance and project management activities for the productivity and collaboration product lines to ensure high user adoption 

  • Implements, maintains, and evolves lifecycles for both current and new productivity and collaboration applications and platforms 

  • Creates and drives innovative colleague productivity and collaboration concepts to real world solutions 

  • Works with product owners, stakeholders, and developers to define and deliver high-value productivity and collaboration applications and platforms 

  • Partner and vendor management 

  • Lead, develop and mentor team members through 1 on 1’s, goal setting and achievement and career building exercises 

 

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years professional leadership experience in a global enterprise IT support, productivity and/or collaboration engineering or telecom engineering team 

  • 3+ years of architecting and implementing a vision, strategy, and roadmap for a Microsoft ecosystem 

  • Demonstrated experience designing maintaining and evolving a content management platform at an enterprise scale 

  • Influential and effective communicator that has a proven history of bringing together diverse people and teams to deliver an aligned vision, strategy, and goal 

  • Proven success in leading diverse project teams and partners providing real world solutions to business problems that achieve high adoption and colleague satisfaction scores 

  • Leads by example, easily approachable by staff and partners, promotes a collaborative work environment and actively takes part in their team's talent development using individual developmental and growth plans. 

  • Experience with managing annual department CAPEX/OPEX budgets and negotiating with SaaS, PaaS, and other vendors 

  • Proven ability to manage "up" to Senior IT management for effective communication, planning, and strategy building 

  • Models the Equinix Culture and Values 

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent experience
